AFCC***Cincinnati at Kansas City*** (-1.5, 48) Chiefs 23-20 (1 Viewer)

The team that finishes with the most points in Buffalo today will go into Kansas City or Atlanta and beat The Chiefs. All three teams have a flaw or flaws that can be exploited but I think The Bengals and Bills can both beat Patrick and his crew. Either matchup would be must see t.v. as is today's game in Western New York. Great month to be a football fan.

You underestimate Patrick Mahomes
The man is capable of doing things that are not human
5th AFCC in a row
Possibly his 3rd trip to the Super Bowl in 5 seasons
Has a running game that seems to be getting better and a savvy offensive line that is blowing holes in defensive lines
Has a Hall of Fame Tight End that just set a career mark with 14 catches in a Playoff game
Has some weapons at WR that are gaining confidence
You underestimate Andy Reid and the coaching staff/nucleus

But I like that we have differing POV on this so far.

If Cincy wins, its in KC, correct?

I love Cincy in that scenario . I think Mahomes would need the sure footing in a dome with that ankle, besides the soft Buffalo D.

Trust me as one of Joe's Old Timers I've learned to never underestimate anyone or any team. Your points are all valid. I just like the look of The Bengals and Bills right now. Both have flaws for sure but both have shown they can overcome adversity in a big way. Either one against The Chiefs will make a great Championship game, and when we know for sure who it will be I will discuss further.

When healthy, the Bills D is better than KC’s, but chiefs may be able to take better advantage of Cincy o-line injuries. 55 sacks this year was 2nd in the nfl.

The Bengals are basically rushing 4 and dropping everyone else out. Pretty much how they have played us the last few times.

If I’m Reid I run the sheeeeit out of the ball and max protect Mahomes. Put three men into patterns and let Mahomes stand back there all day and try and pick apart the D.

We aren’t gonna beat the Bengals running our normal offense.

You said you had no chance to beat them anyways

It's early, but man I think people are going to be really underrating KC next week.
KC are the favourites and people are acting like the Bengals winning is a total lock. Vegas isn't dumb. I wouldn't even be slightly surprised if Cinci wins, but gun to my head I'm taking KC.

KC way better at running the ball than Buff.

KC better coaching.

KC home field is a bigger advantage than Buff.

KC playoff experience/QB Clutchness better than Buff.

KC D-line 50X better than Buff.|

This is going to be a great game, people already crowning the Bengals as AFC Champs is insane.

Line opened "even"
wrong. Looked at 8 sports books so far and everything opened at -1.5 to -3 for KC.

The line has been swinging in Cinci's favour though, and now it's anywhere from even to -2.5 KC.

Either way, this is going to be an incredible game and is anyone's guess who wins this.

BetUs.com opened even. That's where I play so it's the only line I've seen

Fair. That's the first one I've seen that opened even.

Caesars opened at -2.5

Lots of money on Cinci coming in has moved it to -1

It could sway depending on all the mahomes injury reports all week, but this is gonna be within 2 points when it all settles I think.

I agree,Mahomes injury updates will move the line all week

Mahomes' mobility will be limited due to his ankle injury, but he can beat you from the pocket.

The Bengals seem to have their number, however, and are coming off a bludgeoning of the Bills in Buffalo, so they will be a tough out for a Chiefs team with a hobbled QB, even in KC. I don't see anyway Burrow doesn't pick the KC defense to pieces all day.

Ultimately, I am glad the AFCCG is a home game and not being played on a neutral field.

Seeing mostly KC -1 at most places, a stray -1.5 at a few but that's the the minority. IMHO this is factoring in a hobbled Mahomes playing, if he doesn't play the line will move to Cicny -2 or so. If you like Cincy, take the ML now

The Bengals dominated on both sides of the line against Buffalo so it makes it hard to gauge that game.

KCs d-line is far better than a Miller-less Buffalo one. I think KC also has a better Oline so I am a bit torn.

Leaning toward CIN though, they are on a roll.

I like Bengals bravado right now. After last year, doesn't feel like too much. Feels focused.

Not as much brash young kids talking out their ###. More like we know where we went wrong and we're coming back to collect.

Bengals now looking like the team of destiny. At least they didn't flop like the Rams did after the super bowl. Came back with a vengeance. This is too tough to call. I see KC O line being the difference maker here. Can't trust Andy Reid to commit to running though. We'll see.

Weird that the team losing the Super Bowl comes back extra strong the next year instead of the champions, which is how it usually happens.

Cincinnati has that bugaboo of three guys missing on the line. It's harder to hide that in decent conditions. KC is at home. KC has Kelce. KC has Andy Reid. KC also has a very limited Mahomes. If you think he'll come back and work magic, you've never had a high ankle sprain before and tried to be an athlete at really any demanding level. High ankle sprains are brutal and it'll only get worse as the first week wears on. I like Cincinnati because of it.

What's crazy is that whoever wins this game is so seriously impinged upon in some way that I cannot see the NFC losing to either team no matter who comes out of the NFC. These two are a banged-up crew.

Cincinnati controlled both lines with relative ease against Buffalo. Don't see that happening but if they can get some pressure on Mahomes with 4 like they did with Allen then I like their chances. Mahomes ankle is obviously the X-factor - if he's good to go then it's a tossup for me. If he's hobbled and can't really run and scramble, then I would expect Cincinnati to win.

I stand by my original opinion. I think The Bengals go into K.C. and win. They're playing with a chip on their shoulder. Against The Bills I could have played on their O-line and they still would have had success. They have a better defense than K.C. The qb's are on a par. K.C. has the better tight end but The Bengals have three receivers who are all better than any of the Chiefs receivers. Two very good coaching staffs. The game should be a classic. Obviously Mahomes health will be a talking point all week, but even if he's 100% I still think The Bengals win. Should be the higher scoring of two games left. I'll take the over and...

As a KC homer and fan and someone likely to be at the game sunday... it's hard for me to be overly enthused... I thought the game was going to be a real challenge to win with Mahomes at 100%.. if it's Mahomes at even say.. 70-80%... well.. i'm just not sure why the line isn't in favor of the Bengals honestly even with the loud arrowhed crowd

Red flag when the public is all on one side. Hard to watch the Bengals game yesterday and bet against them, but they did almost lose (probably should have) at home to Baltimore last week. If Mahomes is hobbling like one half of a 3 legged race team, I guess it won’t really matter. Gonna side with the masses I guess

bolded...they do get a whole two weeks off before the super bowl.....so there's that...

Exactly what I was thinking. The Bengals' 3 most recently injured O-linemen seem to be week-to-week-ish, so ... If we can just get the win Sunday, I'd give it a decent shot to have everyone but Collins back.

As far as I can tell, the Patriots are the only team besides the Chiefs to make 5 consecutive Conference Championship Game appearances. And although the Patriots' streak was actually a ridiculous 8 in a row, the Chiefs will be the only franchise who can say that they hosted 5 in a row.

ETA: Sorry, Raiders did it as well. But still, they didn't host 5 in a row.
