After last week's bad weather games - (1 Viewer)

Last week we saw the Giants vs. Redskins, Bills vs. Browns, and Jets vs. Pats all get grounded due to bad weather.

Anyone taking note and thinking about benching guys in the windy games this week.

NY Giants at Buffalo 23MPH Winds 90% Chance of rain

Cleveland at Cincy 24MPH Winds 30% chance of rain

Green Bay at Chicago 31MPH Winds and 80% Chance of snow showers

I have a feeling lots of teams are counting on the Cincy vs. Cleveland game to be a shoot out.

Personally I am thinking of swapping Graham for Longwell and Winslow for T. Gonzalez.

Anyone else thinking of taking similar precautions?

afraid, no

Not playing my kicker(Dawson) because of last weeks weather cost me a shot at another championship.(played Tynes and lost by 1)

I'll be playing my best players regardless of weather.........including Anderson, CJ, and Dawson.

Thanks for this thread, I've got Rosenfels vs. Indy in the dome and am seriously considering starting him over Palmer, past Cle/Cin shootouts be damned.

Thought I would give this thread a little bump.

I am in the championship game and have some decisions to make on these bad weather games.

Graham in 24mph winds or Longwell in a dome?

Winslow in 24mph winds or T. Gonzalez in a dome.

I am just trying o get a feel if players are going to take a hit in a the rankings due to the bad weather. Graham went from being 1st or 2nd in the initial rankings to 17 now. Seems like that ranking is taking into account something.

Anyone else with opinions?

Always take a dome kicker over out doors if givin a choice....winslow should do fine in a potential shootout.

I was at the Pats game last week and there were sustained winds OUTSIDE the stadium of 30-40mph. The wind inside wasn't too bad and I think the rain and Pats' gameplan had more to do with the low score (plus the Jets played well). The flags on the posts really weren't moving too much at all.

I think people are overblowing the weather factor a little too much. Unless it's like that crazy Bears game a year or two ago, I don't see too much reason to be benching your studs.

Gale wind has made up my mind. Being from the Chicago area origionally and having attended many a game at Soldier Field, causes me to pick up Kaedig (Monday night at home) and started him over Crosby. I put Anthony Gonzolez (Dome game) in my lineup over Driver as well. While these moves seem fairly equal, factor in what the conditions will be like in Chicago on Sunday and I feel better about my chances.

Overreacting? Plenty of teams who had Browns' players last week are sitting out the championship game directly because of weather. Also the Seattle/Carolina game was a 0-0 barn burner at the half, again as a direct result of the wind, so I thinks it's silly to just disregard weather as a factor...My question for some of the VETERAN fantasy players is this: how much does rain affect a passing game? In particular Seattle's game this week against Baltimore. Seattle doesn't have a running game so they're pretty much gonna chuck it come hell or high water. I'm starting Hasselback in my championship--should I be concerned?

I've gone with Palmer all year and am lucky enough to be in the superbowl. That being said, I'm sticking with Palmer and just hoping he has one game, just one more game like that first game of the season in him. The Bengal offense can be very explosive and Palmer can have a real big game if the weather holds up. He has clearly not played well in wind and rain this year so I'm just crossing my fingers and praying for that one last big game.I'd be perfectly happy to overlook all those games where he got me pedestrian numbers if he comes up with a big game against the Browns and I win the championship.
