There is nothing wrong with talking trash, especially when it involves my home town and my favorite team in the world. Cleveland has made very few moves this offseason and I know this bothers Cleveland fans (at least the ones that I know). Tigers have wrapped up all key peices long term except for Miggy and those negotiations are about to start... all this while CC's talks have stopped until next offseason. I will talk all the trash I like given the situation at hand but don't confuse that with my take on the season... and don't call me a clown, chach.

I think there's a fine line between supporting your team and bragging about your team before it's warranted. The Injins are the defending division champs who lost zero from last year's squad, they have the bragging rights; we're chasing them. Am I confident? Absolutely. There's a lot to be excited about for my Tigers. Am I going to start talking smack to Injin fans? Eff no. They have the title, it's our job to take it from them. All we've done so far is spend more money, lets win more games than them before we start talking it up, that's not too much to ask? Yes? No? Shut up MAC?

Interesting to go back and read through all that. We're a 1/4 of the way through the season, what have we learned?

-2007 is not 2008, the signs were there for a White Sox rebound

-Pitching wins divisions, Cleveland has it, Detroit does not

-Spending money and making big offseason trades does not get you division titles

-Talking trash should be reserved until AFTER you've done something and a big trade does not constitute "something"

That said, there's still 3/4 of the season left to go.
