LAAA is not making up 9.5 games to win the division.Texas and Detroit.
Agreed. Pretty sure the Angels are missing the playoffs. But they should be able to help the A's catch and pass Texas for the division!LAAA is not making up 9.5 games to win the division.Texas and Detroit.![]()

Tell you what, if Oakland passes Texas and wins the division, the next time you find yourself in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, steaks and drinks on me. You will have earned it.No freakin' way. No, because I'm not seven years old. That quit being funny by about the third grade.no WhiteSux option?
Just a random comment, but I am a little surprised people seem to be making the assumption that the aces will be pitching. I would assume at least one of the WC teams will have to battle down to the wire to even get that spot. I doubt they will be sitting around lining up their rotations. I think it will be more like the normal game 163's we've seen with whatever SP happens to be lined up ready to go.This is what the pitching matchups looked like for the last 5 game 163's.2009: Porcello vs Baker2008: Danks vs Blackburn2007: Peavy vs Fogg (lol)1999: Leiter vs Parris (lol)1998: Trachsel vs GardnerSo who gets in and puts their entire season on the line with a single game?Price vs JV? JV vs Weaver? Balt vs Oak in the WTF game of the century?
Very good point, and I agree. It will be really difficult to line up your ace to pitch that WC game if you are needing them every start possible just to get there.Just a random comment, but I am a little surprised people seem to be making the assumption that the aces will be pitching. Tampa has a 2.5 game lead right now and are getting hot. With Niemann coming back too, it gives them flexibility. Gotta figure if the Rays end up in that game, Price will be lined up to go.Just a random comment, but I am a little surprised people seem to be making the assumption that the aces will be pitching. That's what I've got too.Yankees vs. Tigers
1.5 games pretty insurmountable with a month to go.no WhiteSux option?
You have to worry about both directions though. If they get any hotter, they'll be pitching him trying to win the East right? If they slow down at all they'll likely need him to make the WC.So you basically need them eliminated from ALE and clinched WC at the same time for them to actually skip Price and line him up. I'm not sure when his normal schedule dictates he would pitch though.Tampa has a 2.5 game lead right now and are getting hot. With Niemann coming back too, it gives them flexibility. My linkI assume a two way tie means they have to play one game to get into the wild card game.
So a three way tie for the final wild card spot. What happens?
