Good matchup this week, that's about all you can say at this point. I'm forced to play him or Young due to about 4 QB injuries. Leaning toward Smith.

Well, he took all the 1st team snaps yesterday. Depending on what the word is today and going forward on his shoulder, I think he may be worth a shot. NO is no great shakes on D, and the game is at home. Compared to what's probably out there on the wire, you could do worse.......

I picked him up to play him this week in place of Romo. Assuming he is healthy, he should put up decent #s. Plus, no negative points for INTs in my league.

I am not sure he would be a great speculation move THIS week even with the great matchup against NO only because you don't know how his shoulder will hold up.

Now if you needed a QB to cover bye week 9 or 10, it might be a little safer to consider Smith because you can see how he holds up in game situation during Week 8.

I'm in for a waiver claim as an insurance QB3, while Gerrard is out. Basically there is no better option on the wire. Dullpepper? Lemonade? Joey friggin Harrington? NOT!
