@MathBomb
Arian Smith was drafted in round 4 pick 110 in the 2025 draft class. He scored a 9.20 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 305 out of 3816 WR from 1987 to 2025.

15/🧵 Arian Smith — New York Jets (Pick 173)

🎯 IGA Score®: 90.0 (top 10%)
📊 RAS: 9.20 (top 10%)

Verified vertical speed and explosive traits made him one of the most dangerous deep threats available.

When top-end speed translates from testing to real-game separation, it creates true field-tilting potential.

Jon Gruden is a BIG fan of #Jets new WR Arian Smith 👀

Had him as his sleeper WR in this years draft

"This guy can roll man. I know he has some drops, but I've seen this guy working his *** off. This guy can change directions, he has rare acceleration, he can do the one thing you can't coach man: he can rip the top off & he will strike fear in people. I know what I'm getting. I'm getting an everyday worker that's gonna get better & better & better & when he comes into his own...Arian Smith is my guy."

“No one helped their cause this week more than Arian Smith. The speed demon showcased that athleticism in droves and also showed drastic improvements in catching the football. Should that continue when veterans join the rookies, there’s a legitimate chance Smith may be in contention to be WR2 this year.”

Don’t know much at all about him.
Might add him on my late round dart throw list
He reminds me so much of Ted Ginn Jr.

The way he runs and his body type. The long, skinny legs and his running gate are very similar. Ginn's hands may have been a little better but not much.

one of my favorite free lottery tickets after early rookie drafts have five shares and hope he makes the roster, that WR room is wide open after Wilson

I don't follow it like that's possible but I'd say by end of season.
Bad teams always lie to themselves about the usefulness of veterans as a reason to start them. Good teams point that out about veteran backups.

Whether it's Josh or Tyler or Lazard, we know what they bring.

I think this offense is going to be more old school two TE pretty quickly and ditch the 3WR base.

They rave about Wilson and Taylor and no one is close to them.

Smith or Malachi or whoever can be the other WR. I'd guess it's whoever brings a spark that game.

I think they'll have a lot of trouble in pass protection and have little choice but to go two TEs but also ...Glenn is old school and has said often he wants a ground controlled game with efficient passing.

They've got two very talented corners imo and none of the guys not named Wilson can hack it. It's always "soandso broke free. " meaning "except this one time."
