WR Efton Chism III, NE (1 Viewer)

Mark Daniels
Joshua Dobbs on Efton Chism III: “He fits really well within the scheme and offense… He’s a QB friendly target in the red zone and on third down.”

Carlos A. Lopez
WR Efton Chism jukes the defender at the top of the route for an easy win in red zone 1-on-1s — the #Patriots rookie has been very consistent.

It certainly seems like Efton Chism has cemented himself as a roster lock.

“Efton Chism may have locked up a roster spot with his performance after putting on a show in joint practices. The undrafted rookie caught all six of his targets for 71 yards.”

John Frascella (Football)
Patriots sleeper WR Efton Chism continues to be one of the most DOMINANT players of the offseason and preseason, impressing every single step of the way

.@patriots @EftonChism is built for this Offense! We have lots of evidence over 20 years of guys just like Edson who have flourished in Josh McDaniel's offense. #BaldysBreakdowns

.@Patriots @EftonChism all he does is get open; catches everything; moves the sticks; and finds the endzone. He is a perfect fit in this offense. #BaldysBreakdowns

All our rookie drafts were months ago, but some people went bananas picking him up in my best ball PPR SF Dynasty Leagues. Here is what they spent to land him (these leagues have a $100 balance for the year)

$28.02
$35
$25.04
$55
$7.98 (MY WAIVER PICK UP)
$75
$48

So where would he play, doesn't Douglas own the slot in NE?
No, no, no . . . you don't get to come in here and rain on this parade with silly things like facts and logic and depth charts. The Efton Chism lovefest has no room for such shananigans! Efton Chism is going to revolutionize the game. He doesn't need a position. Take your logic to a different thread!

ETA: Pay no attention to @King of the Jungle behind that curtain. Wagons ho, boys! Follow me down the Chism Trail!

Efton Chism III has made the Patriots' roster: Report

By

The Efton Chism III hype train is still running.

The Patriots have informed the undrafted rookie wide receiver he's made the 53-man roster, Mass Live's Mark Daniels reports. Linebacker Elijah Ponder has made the team as well, per Daniels.

Chism was a standout in the preseason, racking up 12 catches on 14 targets for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns over two games.

To the best of my knowledge, Chism has not played with any of the first team offense to this point in preseason games or joint practices. He's been great with Dobbs and the second team. From what I can tell, he's only worked with Drake Maye during basic receiving drills. He seems like he's at the end of the WR depth chart.

So you're telling me to stash him? Got it! :ROFLMAO:

48% of the budget seems… rich.

Or you could look at it the way I do...the fact he excelled in preseason with Josh Dobbs throwing to him (instead of Maye) was so impressive Vrabel put him on the 53-man roster.

Much better, Peter Positive, thank you.

I roster him in 2 leagues. Sold for a 2026 3rd in another. Felt like found money since he was gonna be a roster cut (no taxi)

He is worth a roster spot early in the year to see how this unfolds...the kid was a stud in college, the Pats were aggressive pursuing him as an UDFA and he has done nothing but impress all thru camp and preseason...he also seems like a nice fit as a slot WR in a McDaniel's offense (he reminds me of Welker with how he moves)...he has sneaky power which I do not believe Pop has and why I am not sold on him in that role...as you say he is found $...keep him on your bench for 3 or 4 weeks and if nothing happens you can cut him in a free agent move but now that he has made the team he's worth keeping for a little while longer.

Yeah, he was my WR10 and like I said, no taxi. I really didn’t want to cut him, so I was happy to get the trade offer. In 1 league I had room for him, in another I have him on my taxi.
