The way he was running against the Cards, it does not suprise me something was wrong. He has not looked quick and he has not hit the hole with the same vigor he normaly does. I have some concerns but I still think SA will post his usual 15 plus TD's but no doubt it is safe to say his rushing yards will come back to the 1400-1500 range which is great, but the career year is in the rearview mirror.

Coach Mike Holmgren said that Alexander's is sore, and that he suffered the injury in the season-opener in Detroit. He practiced on the foot last week, but isn't expected to practice much this week, in hopes the injury will heal.

Alexander led the league in rushing last season, and is ninth in the NFC after two games with 140 yards rushing. He gained 51 yards on 19 carries in the season-opener and rushed 26 times for 89 yards in Week 2 against Arizona.
