Don't you have anything better to do than start up redundant threads without even glancing at other threads that already heve much of the info that you seek? If you look up the other threads, guess what... it's already been discussed and you'll learn more of the info you want. I mean, why post updates in a thread called "________ any updates?" Why not just start a new thread every time there's new news about players. That way we can have six SA threads on the front page and have to flip flop back and forth between them to discuss the angles.

Why, because I didn't report the news first? I've never claimed to be the biggest baddest news scoop reporter on the board. But when I get any news, I look to see if there's a thread about it already instead of starting a new thread. That way there's a thread with 40+ replies instead of 3 or 4 threads with 10-12 replies.

How about trying this:Instead of punching him in the gut for doing something wrong, help educate him on a better way to do it. People are less likely to listen if you are beating them up in the process.

No offense, but don't you have anything better to do than to police the boards all day. I've read several threads today that have you in there blowing your police whistle again and again. This year has been really bad with injuries, and there are going to be duplicate threads sometimes. Moderators can merge the threads if they feel that is best. Chill out.

I would have put this in the Morris or Branch thread but I didnt want it to get lost. This way when people log into the Shark Pool, they see Branch Officially Out. Instead of a Branch Injury News thread. People may overlook the fact that Branch is actually not playing. Plus, in this thread we can talk about, Hackett, Engram, Burleson and Hasselbeck as more of a focus.

I don't start redundent threads. I only start threads discussing injury news and updates. If i think a new thread is needed because there has been a significant change in the prior threads' title, then i will do it. If the mods want to merge then so be it. I certainly don't take offense to it like you do. Take a breath bro.

No offense, but don't you have anything better to do than to police the boards all day. I've read several threads today that have you in there blowing your police whistle again and again. This year has been really bad with injuries, and there are going to be duplicate threads sometimes. Moderators can merge the threads if they feel that is best. Chill out.

Actually I don't really have that much else to do. Recovering from back surgery. And the mods have been extremely lax of late, being as how there were 2 or 3 SA threads and a MoMo thread all week before this "breaking news". Same with Branch, including the fact that he was ruled out last night, which thehornet also started a new thread on. Every week there are more and more redundant threads with any possible useful information and discussion dispersed throughtout several different threads. Then someone starts a new one and the old one slides off tpages 1 and 2 with all their good info while someone without the clue of checking for the info first asking for discussion on topics that have already been covered. Most people don't re-post all the discussion they've already had so you get the stragglers popping in with a few tidbits, which are mostly just rehashing the tip of the icebergs from the other threads which are lost. So you've got diluted threads on the front page with the threads containing really good posts slipping farther and farther all because someone wanted to start a whole new thread with an update instead of posting it in the updates for X player thread.If the mods were more active like they used to be this wouldn't be a problem. But it seems they gave up weeks ago.

I never said the mods sucked, just that they were dropping the ball. I have repeatedly stood up for the FBG staff when people really call them out. I'm entitled to my opinion about the job they're doing and in no way did I say that they sucked. But since there are 3 SA and a MoMo threads on the first page and I believe 2 Branch pages, the proof as they say, is in the pudding that the mods have let their involvement in the SP slip.

I agree with this. Sometimes threads get outdated and it becomes too hard to get info out of them. A classic example is the Brandon Jacobs runs a 4.4 thread. I have Jacobs on all 3 of my teams this year, and I haven't opened up that thread for weeks. I don't have time to sort through 14 pages of a thread that was started last July, yet it is still on the first page. I know I can click the corner to take me to where I left off, but I chose not to because i am done with that thread. If someone has updated info, I would prefer them to start a new thread. (** I know this is a SA, Mo Mo thread, just using the Jacobs thread as an example. I'm not looking for Jacobs news here**)With all that being said, I also agree with Mad Sweeny to some extent. There are a lot of redundant threads on this board and it does make it harder to gather information. There is definately a fine line as to whether a topic should be posted in an existing thread or a new thread. I for one don't have time to police the boards (nor do I want to), so I will let the mods decide if threads should be merged. All we can ask (politely I might add) is for people to use their best judgement as to whether a new thread should be posted or put the info in an existing thread. Defending someone and pointing out obvious flaws are not mutually exclusive. Saying that they are dropping the ball on redundant threads does not equal me saying they suck. The OP started a new thread on Branch this morning too, despite a front page Branch thread that was actually updated last night to include the fact that he was out for tonight. I just don't see the point of having an X player update thread if there's going to be a new thread whenever there's an update, especially when the new thread is askng for info and discussion that's already been discussed.

wow, came for some mo mo discussion, and it apparently linked me to the "housewives who CAN type" forum. This is why the shark pool is not the shark pool anymore. It never will be. However, scanning through all the ridiculous statements of guys trying to plant their seed in the hallways of the fantasy knowledge hall of fame (or the hallways of message board police hall of fame), there is some good information to be had. This and this reason only is why I always come back and read. I just seem to get faster each day of scanning past the crap. That being said, my 2 cents, and sadly what I need. Need 12 out of momo in 1 cbs 100$ leauge for a win. Need 22 out of mo mo and seahawk D for a win in the other. (all picked up this week in FA).

I wrote it before my coffee and vicodin. For that I apologize. I'd rather look at the forums and see a thread that says "OUT". I don't know why this is such a big deal, and the mods have specifically stated more than once that this is fine.

What's really annoying is to see 30+ posts in here, click on it expecting something worthwhile to be inside, and see someone complaining about the thread's existence. Now THAT is annoying.
