Agreed, and possibly Doug Martin.I suspect Peterson, Foster, Rice, Marshawn will go before him, but #5 RB is entirely possible.

For PPR leagues he is a 2nd rounder. He's the new Turner. Not involved enough in passing game to be considered a 1st rounder IMO. Still one of the "safe" RBs I would consider round 2 and beyond.
Is it possible he will be more involved? He did have 5 catches in the last 3 games, 1 with Cousins and 2 with a gimpy Griffin. Two small a sample set, but just wondering if now that they know he is the guy (they appear to love him and he did everything that could have been asked of him this year) will they spend more time using him in the passing game. Is he a bar receiver or was their game plan with 2 rookies very simple, i.e. when RG3 did a fake to Morris, he always looked down field? Is it possible that teams may try to "bite" less on the run next year leaving Morris wide open in the flat?No idea if I will have a chance to draft him, but keeping him in a FBG heavy league (how can I not for a 17th round pick) and since it is PPR, I am wondering if he will get more opportunities for catches. Maybe they will lessen the running load by giving him more screen passes. I have to keep him, but I do think he may be more involved next year in the passing game. Not involved enough in passing game to be considered a 1st rounder IMO. I love Morris, but I would bump Charles and Spiller above him if the new coaches aren't inept, especially PPR.If it weren't for Peterson's miraculous season, a lot more light would have been shined on Charles. He had 1509 yards rushing also coming back from an ACL in 2011. He was #9 in my PPR league even though Crennel is an idiot and Charles had 5 games of 12 or less carries and 5 games with no receptions and 2 with 1 reception. Give Charles a mediocre QB and a coach who can actually coach and he is one of a few guys that has a legit chance at being the #1 RB. Same could be said about Spiller except the coming off injury part.huge fan of a morris and would love to have him again.. i dont think i'd take him over trich or rice but hes top 7:1 Peterson, Adrian RB MIN 2 Foster, Arian RB HOU 3 Martin, Doug RB TB 4 Lynch, Marshawn RB SEA 5 Rice, Ray RB BAL 6 Richardson, Trent RB CLE 7 Morris, Alfred RB WAS8 Charles, Jamaal RB KC 9 Spiller, C.J. RB BUF 10 Ridley, Stevan RB NE 11 Johnson, Chris RB TEN 12 McCoy, LeSean RB PHI 13 Murray, DeMarco RB DAL 14 Jones-Drew, Maurice RB JAC
Yeah, I noticed that the last game. Instead of Royster coming in on 3rd downs he was only coming in when Morris signaled he wanted a break. They've been working him into the pass game slowly. He'll likely be more involved in it next year but it's impossible to tell now how much. He's been playing more third downs, and Shanahan had referenced that he thought Morris could be a 3-down guy.
At 300+ carries/season, I hope they don't overuse him. I'm suspecting he's going to be another Stephen Davis, namely a guy we get a few good seasons out of before he flames out.Yeah, I noticed that the last game. Shark move, IMO.No thanks. I avoid all Washington RB's due to the headache they bring.May want to pay attention to his start tonight.
Hindsight of course, but page 1 is hilarious.Shark move, IMO.No thanks. I avoid all Washington RB's due to the headache they bring.May want to pay attention to his start tonight.
In 2 QB leagues MAYBE.I think plenty of people around the turn will get a Richardson/Martin type combo.
Vernon Davis was that guy this past year. Of course, Jordy Nelson was that guy in 2011 and that turned out really well, so you just never know.Playoff performances can affect 2013 draft status. A lot of people like to over value playoff performances when projecting the next season.
I want Morris in every possible league. Good head on his shoulders as well as a fantastic runner.
I don't know what the future will hold, but I think he has a lot more potential than both those guys. A rookie that breaks the Redskins rushing records (been some good ones there) in his rookie season may be better than most think. As mentioned above, I do think the turn in most drafts could be a lot better than this past year. ADP, Foster, Rice, Martin, Lynch, Charles, Morris, Spiller, Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Brees, Calvin, Green, Julio, AJohnson, Marshall, Bryant, etc. Even in leagues with keepers, it looks like you could easily get two quality guys at the turn. In my FBG heavy league I imagine that Manning, Morris, ADP (I think he was a 3rd) and Martin will be gone at the least. That leaves 13-15 real solid guys, so the end of the draft looks real good now. I remember this year sweating the 7th pick and luckily Chris Johnson went early and Brees fell to me. Seemed like it dropped off a cliff in terms of potential (at the draft, not in the rear view now).I want Morris in every possible league. Good head on his shoulders as well as a fantastic runner. In the short term, the only thing that would seem to be a problem would be injuries. He's anther Stephen Davis, or Mike Anderson type. And supposedly he's getting used more and more on passing downs as he hones his blitz pick up and receiving skills.
I'd have a hard time saying he has "a lot more potential" than Stephen Davis. Davis was a pretty good RB.What he does have on Davis is an earlier start to his productive career. Davis was listed as a FB for the start of his career. He got some starts and did well in 1997 replacing an injured Terry Allen, but, for some reason, was behind Skip Hicks in 1998. Once he took over in 1999, at the age of 25, he went over 1500 yards from scrimmage in 4 out of 5 seasons (3 of which were over 1600 yards). The one season he didn't reach that, he had 962 yards in 12 games in the RB unfriendly offense of Steve Spurrier. Over that 5 year span, Davis averaged 23 touches, 104 yards, and .7 TDs per game.I think Morris dynasty owners would be very happy to get that kind of production over the next five years.I don't know what the future will hold, but I think he has a lot more potential than both those guys. Shanny as we all know is unpredictable. Let's not forget Shanny like Roy Helu too and he was the hot Redskins RB to own for about 2 minutes last year. I think Helu can be used effectively in the passing game and this keeps Alf mainly a running game only kind of guy.Is it possible he will be more involved? In the option formation where the Redskins line up with Morris as the upback and a wr deep in the backfield, I want to see Helu in that position. He could be very good taking the pitch and running the ball from there. The Redskins really did not pitch the ball very often there, especially once Banks was removed from the formation.Shanny as we all know is unpredictable. Morris had 87 rushing yards and 2 TDs when Cousins was the QB against Cleveland. Morris also carried the team against the Cowboys when RG3 was gimpy in week 17. Even though RG3 adds another dimension to the offense which compliments Morris, I think Morris will be effective with either QB.Awful RG3 news will likely have an adverse affect on Morris next year if the reports are true. How much is left to be seen but I can't see him being nearly as effective without RG3 as a threat to the defense.
Yes it will.Morris won't drop off the face of the earth, but he's no longer a 1st round pick. Likely drops to late 2nd or early 3rd. He still should be a solid RB2, but IMO, Griffin was the reason Morris had such a great year.Awful RG3 news will likely have an adverse affect on Morris next year if the reports are true.
