C - Ronny Paulino - Everyone's favorite sleeper at catcher has been terrible. Hovering around the Mendoza line all year, now finally up to .220
1B - Pujols - Concensus #1 pick hovering around 10th ranked at his position. Recent hot streak has him up to .275 and leaves Paul Konerko threatening to take over this spot.
2B - Robinson Cano - Flat out awful. In what was supposed to be the weakest position going into the season, 2B has produced more than it's fair share of performers this year. In my league Cano, who was the 2nd 2B taken, ranks 22nd
3B - Garrett Atkins - What happened here? Top 3 at is position in just about every league last year has turned in a stat line of .227/3/18 in 2007. He's being outproduced by the like of Eric Chavez, Adrain Beltre and Brandon Inge
SS - Michael Young - Texas signed this guy to a 7 year deal during the off season and will probably regret every day of it's duration when it's all said and done.
OF - Bobby Abreu - The numbers aren't awful, but they aren't Bobby Abreu numbers.
OF - Jermaine Dye - Chased a MVP last year, just now starting to warm up.
OF - Alfonso Soriano - .288/4/9 with 7 SBs is not what the Cubs invisioned when they forked over $136m over 8 years.
SP - Carlos Zambrano - What's wrong with this guy? A) Over used B)contract concerns C)mental midget? I'll take D) all of the above.
SP - Barry Zito - Even though the Giants way overspent on getting him, I thought the move to the NL would do him some good. 4-5 with a 4.69 ERA suggests otherwise
SP - Jeremy Sowers - Went 7-4 last year, but low K rate has really caught up with him. Now sitting at 1-4 with a 6.29 ERA. Too bad he doesn't face KC all of the time.
RP - Mariano Rivera - Is this the end? Long time great is having all sorts of problems closing games and there hasn't been that many to close. Only has 3 saves and his ERA is 6.32
