NFL.com posted a mid season All Pro team. Some of these seem like surprises.

P. Manning over Rogers and Brees?

Martin at RB as a rookie.

Wayne at WR.

Both CBs from Chi.

Weddle at S, seriously?

Thoughts.....

Doug Martin has had two amazing games, but picking him as an All-Pro player over the first half of the year is insane. In his first six games, he didn't break 100 yards rushing in a single game and only had two touchdowns.

If he keeps up his current pace (or honestly, about half of it), he'll deserve to be All-Pro at the end of the season, but based on the first half only, he's not deserving.

Brandon Marshall was snubbed at WR, but the other two choices are deserving as well.

Defensive End

Cameron Wake, Miami Dolphins

NFC executive: "He just keeps getting better. He has developed more moves and added strength."

Defensive Tackle

J.J. Watt, Houston Texans

NFC executive: "His motor is unbelievable. He has outstanding instincts. He's by far the NFL's best interior pass rusher."

Defensive Tackle

Calais Campbell, Arizona Cardinals

NFC executive: "He plays too high, but he still finds a way to dominate games."

Defensive End

Jason Pierre-Paul, New York Giants

AFC executive: "He's a total freak. He's a rare talent and he plays with a great motor."

Outside Linebacker

Von Miller, Denver Broncos

NFC executive: "He's the most explosive edge rusher in the NFL. He plays about six inches off the ground."

Inside Linebacker

Daryl Washington, Arizona Cardinals

NFC executive: "He's super explosive and he has a nose for the ball. He's closing in on Patrick Willis' spot as the top inside linebacker in the league."

Inside Linebacker

Lance Briggs, Chicago Bears

AFC executive: "He's always around the ball. He's the key player on the Chicago defense."

Inside Linebacker

Sean Weatherspoon, Atlanta Falcons

NFC executive: "He's been awesome in pass coverage. He's a complete linebacker."

Outside Linebacker

DeMarcus Ware, Dallas Cowboys

NFC executive: "He's better versus the run than he gets credit for, and he is the top pass rusher in the league."

Cornerback

Tim Jennings, Chicago Bears

NFC executive: "He plays much bigger than his size (5-foot-8). He's a big man in a little man's body."

Cornerback

Charles Tillman, Chicago Bears

AFC executive: "He's just starting to get a lot of attention, but he's been a great player for a long time."

Safety

Jairus Byrd, Buffalo Bills

NFC executive: "He has phenomenal ball skills and he's a very good tackler."

Safety

Eric Weddle, San Diego Chargers

AFC executive: "He's always around the football. He's a great tackler and he always takes the correct pursuit angles."

Punter

Thomas Morstead, New Orleans Saints

His net average of 45 yards per punt leads the NFL.

OFFENSE

Quarterback

Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos

NFC executive: "He doesn't always look pretty, but he's still Peyton. They are running his offense from Indy and he has it mastered."

Running Back

Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings

AFC executive: "He's a freak. The best running back in the league and he's not even 100 percent healthy."

Running Back

Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

AFC executive: "He's been the top rookie in the league. He's so shifty and explosive."

Fullback

Vonta Leach, Baltimore Ravens

AFC executive: "He's a contact freak. He's a true throwback and he functions like an extra offensive lineman."

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots

NFC executive: "He's a beast. He's not the greatest athlete, but his length and body control are unreal. Can't defend him."

Wide Receiver

A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals

NFC executive: "He's the NFL's best vertical threat because of his combination of speed and ball skills."

Wide Receiver

Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts

AFC executive: "He's the best route runner in the NFL and he's playing like he's in his prime."

Left Tackle

Duane Brown, Houston Texans

NFC executive: "He's playing really well. He's gotten much stronger. He's the best LT in the league right now."

Guard

Marshal Yanda, Baltimore Ravens

AFC executive: "He's not always pretty, but he's incredibly strong, tough and instinctive."

Center

Maurkice Pouncey, Pittsburgh Steelers

NFC executive: "He has a rare combination of strength, athletic ability and instincts. He doesn't put any bad plays on tape."

Guard

Mike Iupati, San Francisco 49ers

NFC executive: "He's so wide and strong. He clears a lot of space for their running game. He's a more athletic Leonard Davis."

Right Tackle

Anthony Davis, San Francisco 49ers

NFC executive: "He's a powerful man. You can't get around him in the pass game and he drives people off the ball in the run game."

Kicker

Blair Walsh, Minnesota Vikings

He's made 19 of 20 field-goal attempts, nailing all five of his attempts of 50 yards or more.

Kick Returner

Leodis McKelvin, Buffalo Bills

He's averaging 29.8 yards per kickoff return and 19.5 yards per punt return.

peyton has been good, but i'd take ryan or even rodgers over him at this point

martin, really? foster has been much more consistent (scored a TD every game this year)

i wont argue against gronk, he's been solid

i think i'd give wayne a pass, he's achieved beyond expectations

wake i think got most of his sacks in the AZ game, but then again i cant think of anyone else i'd put ahead of him

weddle at S is a LOL

i'm a bears homer (obviously) so seeing our two CBs there is kind of cool, but i still dont really trust jennings but you cant argue about the production so far.

One leads the league in interceptions, one leads the league in forced fumbles with 7 - that's 4 higher than the 2nd guy who has 3 (and is the other safety - Byrd) - so yes.

My take on the FF skill players IRL performance:

QB - Rodgers - he and Peyton are 1/1A statistically; TD-INT ratio 25-5 without Jennings much of the year and Jordy the last 2

RB - Foster - 10 TDs and 770 yards

RB - Peterson - leads the NFL in rushing

WR - Wayne - still the man, 1 behind Harvin in receptions, leads NFL in receiving yards

WR - Welker - on pace for 120 receptions, a record 5th season over 100

TE - Gronk - 7 TDs

You can make an easy case for A.J. Green as well.

Agree about Martin as well. I don't see how you can leave ADP off this list.
