TO's problem is that his head is whacked .. and I think the best way to describe him is to say that he is LIKE A BOY KING!

Spoiled and immature ... with some power (performance and money) becuase of his abilities and just has no idea how to his "power".

He just thinks that he is above any criticism or scrutiny and acts with out thinking about the outcome.

He is the BEST WR playing today, an absoloute warrior that is just a football machine. I think that he gets frustrated on the field becuase he has yet to "hook up" with a QB that can keep up and get him the ball as often as he can handle it.

I don't think that this guy will get tired, or stop making plays during a game ... as long as you can get him the ball then he can make big plays for your team and he has come to develop and serious SUPERIORITY complex.

Thinking (knowing in his head) that he is the best, and thinking that, becuase of his performance on the field he is untouchable ... off the feild.

As he does things that are stupid and unneccesary like:

-- Parking in the Handicapp spaces at the practice feild

-- Criticizing his team mates, coach or orginization

-- Making stupid comments to the media

-- his scrutnized end zone celebrations

And he was wrong ... the iggles just pretty much stated that Owens is a good player but the benefit we recieve from him is far less then the trouble and money he is worth. It is not all about  him scoring on the field, but how he contributes to the team as a part of it.

He has no respect for anyone or any team? He acts with little regard for anything and does not seem to think any thing through.

Whether it is a comment to the media, or not helping and old lady across the street, or getting in a fight with members of the orginization that he plays for. He just thinks that he is above the rules becuase he is a SPOILED BOY KING!
That's probably very true. Not saying it's an excuse, but TO had a pretty difficult childhood. I would have been the first one to call him a jerk, but taking his childhood into account makes me feel kind of sorry for him. Mother had him at 17. She was in and out of jobs. In and out of his life. Found out who his father was when he was interested in a girl across the street. Her father said to stay away because she was his half-sister. Her father was his father. Raised mostly by his abusive alcoholic grandmother. Money and fame don't always fix the kinds of issues that comes from an upbringing like that. link

Just offering a viewpoint that some of us may not have known.
I heard Sean Salisbury on ESPN radio on my drive home yesterday and he touched on this. He basically dismissed and ripped it apart because for his charity, he has seen worse childhoods come by and they don't end up like TO. Basically said that as long as we allow him to use this excuse, he will and he just needs to grow up and be a man. I have the same view because I have known people with as bad or worse childhoods and they don't cause the problems TO does. I'm not saying everyone who has a bad childhood can come out great because those things will screw some people up but until I hear TO is using the money he's earned to get himself help, all it is is an excuse.

1. There's no incentive for a team like the Packers (or any other team that's already eliminated from playoff contention) to sign Owens.2. There's no way Philly would allow Owens to get picked up by a potential rival. The only way I could see this happening would be if Philly got eliminated from playoff contention, but even then...3. There's no way Philly would give Owens the satisfaction of "having his way".

Never mind...I didn't read the wording "were"... I guess it's just cheesehead musings
All the article stated that IF TO WERE to be released(which will not happen), the Packers may be first in line to claim him due to the current waiver order. It also states it would be doubtful the Packers would claim him.

As a fantasy owner I would love for the Eagles to do this but I understand that there is almost no possiblity of them doing that. The Eagles gain nothing by releasing him and last thing they want to do is help another team...

I don't think T.O. will be released, considering Philadelphia already anounced their plans. I guess they could change them though. But as a Viking fan, I would love to see T.O. playing in the green and gold.
Because you'd like to see him shred apart the Vikes DBs? Not an Eagles fan or T.O. owner just a little curious of that statement.

He is a handful and would give the defensive backs fits. But in all due respect, one of the strengths of the Packers is team unity and a 'sense of one'. T.O. could be the only force in the Galaxy that could disrupt this for the Packers.
