All-time cereal draft (1 Viewer)

Wanted to let to FBG cereal community know about the awesome newish Jif peanut butter cereal. Definitely go out and try it, rivals(but doesn't surpass) PB Cap'n Crunch as best PB cereal ever IMO.

Just out of curiosity....if it only rivals but doesnt surpass Cap'n, why wouldnt one just get the Cap'n?

It's not as sweet or crunchy as PB CC so if you're looking for something more subtle, a change of pace, Jif is the way to go.

Does anyone like the cereal dust at the end of the box?
Depends on the cereal but more often than not I do enjoy it. Don't like it with Coco/Fruity Pebbles for instance. The bottom usually has weird hard pebbles that sink in the milk and hurt your teeth when biting. Conversely Cocoa Krispies dust is glorious, cereal is still edible and it leads to uber chocolatey milk.

I'll scoop the last of the cereal out by hand, like sifting for gold, to avoid the dust.

Starting to wonder though if I should be throwing that dust in a container and saving it to use on something else, maybe let it dissolve into a bowl of milk pre-cereal or something. On top of ice cream maybe?

I feel like I'm throwing away a lot of potential when I toss it.

Believe it or not, I just saw this at Target and was wondering if it was any good or not. Will try.

Why bother if it's not better than the Cap'n. Did they stop making that?

Dude, are you ####ing kidding me? If they sold a box of just dust at a huge markup, I'd still buy it.

Sometimes I take the bag out of the box when it is down to about 1/3 full, and I just crush the remaining amount before pouring it in a bowl.

It ruins the texture of Frosted Flakes and Cap'n Crunch for me, but I do agree with the guy who said chocolate dust is the exception.

Do you make cereal oatmeal with that bag of dust, or sprinkle it on whole cereal?

Sprinkle/pour it on. I would say ideal ratio is 2/3 whole, 1/3 dust.

I'll reopen my investigation.

I think it's pretty good, but definitely not as good as PBCC. It's just as sweet, IMO, and makes a good snack out of the box. But in a bowl with milk, it loses something.

The Cap'n is still king.

Anyone try the knock off (bags of cereal) cap n crunch crunch berries with lucky charm marshmallows? Only found them about a month ago, but they're moving up my list quick.

Woah, sweet cereal thread! Putting a :blackdot: right here.

I work in a grocery distribution warehouse; a co-worker and I once spent an entire day making a master list of cereal rankings. Top 5 day at work ever.

The alt-right can take my Pop-Tart when they pry it from my cold, dead hands
About 5 years ago a local warehouse supermaket misprinted the price on a 96 pack of Pop-tarts for around $2.50. They honored the price and I was stocked for half a year.

Toast a Pop-Tart, let it cool slightly, place a scoop of vanilla ice cream on one half, fold the other half over and enjoy.  I bet even Steve Bannon would agree it's a tasty treat.

How did the alt-right and Pop-Tarts get mixed up and folded over and over?

It's two great tastes that don't like each other.

I like neither of 'em.

Shame that Cap'n Crunch Oops All Berries came out after this draft.

Cap'n Crunch and all its' imitators - Quisp, Quake, etc - literally tore the roof of your mouth into shreds.  I spent hours of my childhood life on Saturday mornings watching cartoons, pondering what life would be like with only those beautiful crunchberries.

My dream is a reality.
