All-time cereal draft (1 Viewer)

Idiot Boxer goes for the stud non-sweet strategy with Cheerios in round 1 and Rice Krispies in round 2. Huge gamble, as the only sweet cereals that are going to be left when this swings back around to him in round 3 are the fad types. I still think he loses the nutritional vote to the guy who picked Total--you can't beat a guy who picks a vitamin disguised as a cereal.

Anytime anyone mentions that there is something in someone's sig, posty chimes in with "GB having sig's turned off"...so I put #### in the sig that posty wouldn't like

And who could forget the look on the lady's face when she was handed 8 bowls of corn flakes and that she'd have to eat all 8 bowls to equal 1 bowl of total :excited:

I think I can say IWBAC is representing Dallas well. I'm fielding calls as a consultant of mid 80's sugary cereals if you didn't happen to grow up watching Transformers and Finstones.Unquestionably 1983-1987 were the golden years of cereal. GM was just cranking out stud after stud then.
I have another one for you in round 3 :brush:

Thanks for the vote of confidence but for my second pick, I'm going to balance out my cereals and takeCAOOOOOOOOOKIE CrispEdit to add: How bout it's 70 effin degrees and sunny here in Pittsburgh today. Record for today is 71

2.8 Corn Pops
Took me awhile to think of those, good pick.I can remember getting those variety packs, you know you'd get like 8 in a pack and they'd be different kinds. Corn Pops wouldn't be the first one chosen but they wouldn't be left at the end either.

Guess I should say that I've got twin sisters 2 years younger, so cereal selection was a big thing there for awhile, not as much as who got the toy inside the box, but a pretty darned important part of the day.

Excellent pick. I was hoping it would slide.

I just realized this is the "all time" cereal draft. I find that funny.
Agreed, considering some questionable choices. This thing has really started to turn around now though.A little rough early on, but it aint easy being a pioneer.

Not sure if this has been addressed already, but how in the world does Lucky Charms slip to the 2nd round? That's first overall pick material, in my opinion.

just speaking for myself - I ####### hate Lucky Charms. :X :yucky:

It was unclear what people were looking for in this draft but I think it naturally cleared itself up after 7 or 8 picks. Those of us that picked early (me) are in a bad spot right now and need to start pulling some picks out their ####.

 (although I personally like Total - as a cereal, not a draft pick :bag: )

Appease, damn you! Appease! :boxing:

ffweasel, on the clock. Two picks.
He's gonna be away for a few hours, I volunteered to pick for him but haven't received approval.
I have two great picks ready....just give me the word..
Alright, I want to get out one more pick before I leave for awhile. I say if the weasel said it's ok, then go ahead and pick. JMO

IndividuallyWrapedKraftSingles,

I always wondered why you didn't change your name to IndividuallyWarpedKraftSingles. I know, makes no sense. But being dyslexic, I always see it that way anyway.
since you brought it up isn't there 2 p's in wrapped?
 Prolly wouldn't fit in the username.
CorrectI had to loose one letter. I originally regretted my choice but I've gotten over it and now embrace the Wrapped without the two p's.

PBCC is an awful pick IMO.  Not even in the top 2 Capn Crunches.   :yucky:
 Your opinion is wrong.
Well, like I said...my opinion.Peanut Butter Capn Crunch in the 1st round is gonna cripple this team. Pretty much everything chosen after it has been a uber stud.PBCC could not be more overrated if it was Frosted Michael Vick Crunch.
Naming a cereal after a quarterback is GOLD. I wish someone would do that.
They did...

Wheaties..nice strong pick. won't get you flashy numbers, but guaranteed solid numbers week in and week out.F Waffle Crisp. Never even heard of it until Shuke's thread.Honeycomb = gold

Um. That was the joke.

Worst pick so far is Idiot Boxer with Rice Krispies at 2.2It's not even a cereal, it's a baking ingredient. He'd have been better off trading down.

Bingo! Was waiting for this one.Too bad you ruined your draft in the first round though. :(

Understood. Just providing visual evidence (if the bloody URL tags would work).

I think you guys remember the idea of cookie crisp more than the actual cereal. Stuff just wasn't that good.
It's still around, had some recently. The formula has definitely changed but still pretty good stuff.

There's a pair of cereal twins that have been out of the league for a while that are worth considering for a late round flyer. Especially if they bring their Hawaiian war canoes.
