Saw the thread on basic H2H strategy - how about one for alternative theories.
I usually try to go across the board and lean more toward hitting - but this year I have a nice pitching base going into the draft: Hamels, Kazmir, Carmona, Hughes and Putz - I also have speed locked up for cheap in Figgy and Taveras -
Still have some decent coin to spend in 5x5 mixed draft - was thinking go reverse field and lock up another ace in Santana or Peavy with a top closer - Wagner to complete dominate all 5 pitching cats. I then would have enough money to get another top SB/avg guy like Ichiro and then spread it out on remaining spots with high averages - never have ignored power before but I am thinking this way I should win all 5 pitching cats and have a great shot at SBs, runs and avg - who cares about spending $45 on a power guy?
Anyone try this or have another theory they used?
