Alternative To Serpentine Draft Order (1 Viewer)

I was reading somewhere in this forum where a league had a combination serpentine/random draft process, where every odd round was serpentine and evens were random. Sounded kind of confusing, but it did eliminate the horrible lag time between draft picks in the serpentine method.

I was wondering if anyone's league had a draft process that used a combo method, or any other method that helped potentially eliminate having to wait a long time between picks.

We just did, every odd round random, every even round the serpentine of the previous round. It worked very well to eliminate any perceived unfair advantage and everyone in the league liked it.

Go Up-Down-Down-Up.

So the 1st pick picks last in the 2nd, last in the 3rd and 1st in the 4th.

This eliminates the advantage of having 3 of the first 25 picks but is still mathematically fair.

How did you do this? How were the odd random rounds picked?

The league management software does this automatically as an option... but there are number randomizers on the internet if your league management doesn't offer it.

Yeah, we do this every year as well, it is one of the draft setup options with myfantasyleague.com I like it because it make the draft alot less predictable and much more dynamic...

This is our alternate snake order in a 10 team redraft league.

Has anyone used this format before? I emailed Henderson last month to see if I could program the DD with this format, but he didn't respond...anyone with ideas?

This came out totally different than how I put it in. The numbers are the same, but the format is screwed up...feel free to comment if you can read it.
