How many of these do you see as servicable starters ? I need to start at least three every week, depending on my def. strategy, possibly 4..

Gary Brackett - IND

D'Qwell Jackson ® - CLE

Derek M Smith - SF

Shelton Quarles - TB

Danny Clark - OAK

Larry Foote - PIT

Rosevelt Colvin - NE

Thomas Howard ® - OAK

Napoleon Harris - MIN (planning on cutting)

Jeff Posey - BUF (planning on cutting)

Any input will be appreciated

You should have enough guys to start every week. Keep an eye on Harris before cutting him. He still has the chance to be the starting MLB.

Brackett, Foote, Quarles and Clark starters, all on the inside. Howard should start on the weak side. Colvin starts too.

I know far too little about your scoring, but you have more than enough starters. Studs? Different question.

Its a dynasty with huge rosters, 63 which must be cut down to 53 by the start of the season. Scoring is set up so all positions have very equal value. 2 ppr for TEs, 3 pts per solo tackle for DL just to name a couple of examples

I have great depth at DL (start 4, depending on defensive scheme)

John Abraham - ATL

Bert Berry - ARI

Pat Kerney - ATL

Leonard Little - STL

Luis Castillo - SD

Marcus Stroud - JAC

Andre Carter - WAS

Greg Ellis - DAL

Victor Adeyanju ®- STL

Stanley McClover ®- CAR

I'm considering trading one for an upgrade at LB or RB (I have Larry Johnson and not much else, fortunately a couple of schemes allow for only 1 RB)

Brackett, Jackson and Quarles should be really solid for you. Smith and Harris could also be serviceable. Do not cut Harris. I'd let go of Colvin before him. You could be a lot worse off.

I'm worse, After grabbing my 6th pick(drafted last) top LB's were gone by the time I got back in. Have to cut down to about 6. See who you can get as a FA.

Thomas Davis or Seward could be good. Like you I may drop Colvin.

Ayodele, Akinola DAL LB - 3 FA

Bockwoldt, Colby NOS LB - 7 FA

Brooking, Keith ATL LB - 5 FA

Carter, Andre WAS LB - 8 FA

Colvin, Rosevelt NEP LB - 6 FA

Davis Thomas

Darling, James ARI LB - 9 FA

Draft, Chris CAR LB - 9 FA

Haggans, Clark PIT LB - 4 FA

Hill, Leroy SEA LB - 5 FA

McGinest, Willie CLE LB - 6 FA

McIntosh Rocky Skins LB

Merriman, Shawne SDC LB - 3 FA

Seward, Adam CAR LB - 9 FA

Simmons, Anthony NOS LB -

I think at least one of Bockwoldt/Simmons will be top 30 next year ...I think you are fine, although not strong, for a 16 teamer. You are pretty weak for a 12 teamer.

Nothing wrong with that group LBs, just not exciting with high upside. Several of these should end up in the top 25-30 if they stay healthy.

Just a heads up here, Andre Carter is already listed as a DE on the Redskins website. I for one think that it increases his value and that he could put up some solid numbers, many of your LBs have ?'s but I'm sure several will pan out for you. Nobody thinks Rosie will have an expanded role this year for the Pats with McGinest gone ?

That's right. I moved Thomas Davis, but not Carter. MFL still has Davis at S and Carter at LB but that will change. New to IDP, drafted in Jan so am trying to upgrade. I think by august cutdown I'll have 6 decent players but no studs.Good luck to you.

The rest are non-serviceable. I do like A. Carter this year as he will be playing DE this year. I think 8 sacks from him is achievable. For every good game from B. Simmons, there are three or four games where he won't show up in the boxscore. K. Bell had huge potential as he was ROY a couple of years back, but injuries have decimated his play and will no longer reach full potential again. This is how I would rank them (LB's):

1. C. June

2a. K. Morrison

2b. M. Greenwood

4. B. Simmons

5. K. Wong

6. R. Colvin

7. C. Ingram

DL:

1. A. Carter

Hope this helps!

I agree with these rankings from a redraft standpoint. However, if you're playing in a dynasty league, I'd rank the players as...1. Morrison

2a. June (UFA at season's end)

2b. Greenwood

4. Simmons

5. Ingram

6. Wong

7. Colvin

thanks guys, it is a dynasty league and i figured my three main starters would be morrison/june/greenwood with simmons filling in if need be which i feel will be a decent rotation, just wanted to see if anyone had heard anything that would shake it up (June's big toe may have fallen off or Morrison's eyes coulda gone crossed :pokey: )

I actually like Wong better in a dynasty rather than a redraft league. I the 3-4 last year he clearly outscored Greenwood. Wong is likely a June 1 casualty, but if he is not, he may displace Cowart as MLB halfway through 2006. I'm surprised there is so much love for Greenwood, even though he did finish 30th in LB scoring in 05, he has never before finished higher than 50th. I attribute Greenwood's 30th rank solely to the season ending injury to Wong. Now that I check on it, Wong only had one season ranked 30th or higher.

Simmons name has also been mentioned as a potential June 1 casualty.

All told, you have some work to do to get this crew improved.
