This is the aspect of the show that I have the biggest problem with. I'm fine with people messing themselves up by not reading the clues, misreading road signs and/or simply not being able to navigate the world. But, when you lose out because some yahoo cabbie wanted the fare and has no idea where he's going, it's just wrong.stupid cab ruined it
I've only been watching a few seasons, but to me, that's a large part of what can separate a good team from a bad team. Your cabbie doesn't know where he's going? Know your cabbie knows before you get in. Worried? Get out. Etc. All the Green Team's trouble this leg was their own doing. Not figuring out where to go before getting in a cab. Not following the clue properly to get on the right boat.Mjolnirs said:This is the aspect of the show that I have the biggest problem with. The only thing I can think of is they provide cabs at the locations with all of the drivers aware of where they are going.
Watched it again with my nephew and notices this too. Unless it was highly edited, Green Team never asked anyone on the street or people around them where the street was. Ironically, unless it was edited again, the Cheerleaders did not do this with their cabbie before the end.I've only been watching a few seasons, but to me, that's a large part of what can separate a good team from a bad team. Which is better, seeing Justin NOT win the Amazing Race or watching Justin crying at the finish? Trick question, it's BOTH!
thought for sure they were setting us up with them being "behind".. until they got to the last challenge. ...
each other when they saw the winning team was NOT going to be Justin.
We talk about running this race and this couple did the perfect race. Under the radar, no drama, barely even notice them. Good for themWe're rooting for that other team. No idea who they are.
Agree with you here and hope it's fixed somehow. Luckily it didn't seem to affect the outcome. Uber-dooshy paparazzi team came in what appeared to be hours after the others. Could have had problems with the Adirondack chairs, but mostly they seemed to lose because they thought Africa was a country.Taxi drama left such a bad taste at the beginning. Justin got Logan's taxi to leave and screwed them too after botching his own cab. The way the newscasters reacted was terrible too. No one there to explain the right rules. Ugly and awful.
Needs to be fixed soon by the show for future seasons.
I was rooting for them as well since pretty much all of the other teams were against them. I kinda viewed them as a sort of underdog.I was rooting for the Green Team (apparently I'm the only one) based on their deserving it after dominating the Race. Happy with the winners, though, as they were super-likable and one of the few couples that never fought. Expect to see the Greens on the next alumni season.
Green team was obviously the strongest team. It's like the Patriots losing the Super Bowl after being undefeated. They had to take a bus all the way to Manhattan and still came pretty close. It's too bad they couldn't figure out a way to get to JFK area where there a bunch of taxis. I assume the rules won't let them try to hitchhike?
It was really a bonehead move to not keep that taxi there.i don't feel that bad for them. Second still gets 25K and they had all the other winnings on the individual legs.

That being said, it was pretty stupid to be a cheap ### with the cab driver. Especially when they were playing with someone else's money.
s. He might have thought that he needed to keep some money back in case they needed it for further transport, but it appeared that he was just being petulant by not giving the cabbie the extra money. For a team that generally played so smartly, it was a huge and obvious blunder.I hear you. Why did they have to change a good thing? First they do some kind of singles thing and now this. I can also definitely say that I would not recognize any of those people out in public. Disappointing. Not sure I can make it though millennial amazing race.
No DVR?The Friday night time slot has killed our enjoyment. We can never seem to catch it. We loved the Sunday Night time slot after 60 Minutes. We tried the 1st season on Friday Night and missed a few shows, the last one we could never seem to find it or catch up once we fell behind.
Love the show, will try to watch it.

Yeah it is amazing when the race brings out people's true colors. I always find it funny when teams that have been running at the front hit adversity and then start bickering with each other .Up until that point they have been bragging about how well they have got along. Then other teams like the dancers fight the whole race. I would agree with you up until the past few episodes. Tyler and Corey have been passive/agressive about it, but they really were gunning to get the frisbee guys out and didn't want to see Burnie and Ashley in the final leg. This has still been the friendliest season in AR history. Usually there are teams fighting with each other or out to get each other. Most of the teams this season actually helped each other out. Dana is the one #####y exception, but she just rags on Matt, not the other teams..

Seemed to be a clear "making drama where there was none" and that Burnie and Ashley would be there. I was so shocked when it wasn't them that I rewound and watched again. All I could figure was that they got a bit lost at the pit stop, since they were otherwise clearly ahead.Yeah, they've been my favorites until recently, but I"m rooting for mother/son at this point.EYLive said:Why did Tyler and Cory turn into jerks all of a sudden?
Me too.Yeah, they've been my favorites until recently, but I"m rooting for mother/son at this point.
Yeah, she was terrific. I didn't expect to like them, but they were a strong and positive team. Maybe they'll be back on an all-stars edition. They have to be a fan favorite.Girl killed that roll out the barrel.
Huge props to Sheri and Cole. They were probably predicted to be one of the first few to be eliminated. Are they the furthest Mom/Son or Father/Daughter team ever? Sheri kicked butt the whole race.
