Also not true. The deal is they can show anything 3 years or older (that timeframe may be a bit off but it's something like that). HBO made the rule, not Amazon

I thought about starting a separate thread for this. I watched this pilot last night; it was outstanding. Hooks you immediately, the hour passes so quickly you don't even realize how long you've been watching until the final scene. I know it's technically just part of "pilot season" but it's hard to imagine that it won't get picked up for a full season- my guess is they included it in the freebie package to hook people and convince them to purchase prime/on demand. Almost as hard to imagine it won't win a bunch of awards next year if the rest of the season is as good as the pilot. Critics loved it too. And it's right in the wheelhouse of many FFA posters, I think.

I started watching One Mississippi after browsing the menu and watched one episode, then two, then all of season 1.
It's based on the life of Tig Notaro (who I had never heard of prior to watching this show). I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I appreciate her style of deadpan humor and it carries over into the show very well.

Watched a few (they're half hour, so not a big commitment).
A little disappointing tbh- not funny enough for me. One of van dammes characters should have gotten more time... kind of a schlumpy loser janitor version of himself.

She had a stand-up show on one of the premiums where she travels the country and basically plays sets in fans' homes. If you like the deadpan, there's lots of it there. But what killed me was in the closing credits when she's doing her clown horn sounds affect for other comedians. I could watch that party endlessly.

A lot of the older HBO stuff is part of prime, but I don't think that any current series have anything up for free, except for curb (since it seemed like it was over). No GOT, Silicon Valley, etc.

Just watched a flick called The Assassin Next Door. Horrible title and description and I was expecting a bad action flick, but I figure I can watch Olga Kurylenko chop vegetables for two hours and be interested. Wow this was a really really good film. Not a cheesy action flick AT ALL. Kurylenko and her large-breasted costar are both great and the movie really digs deep on the main character. Big thumb's up.

we're 4 or 5 in and it's been very good. some misses, but some really solid stuff too. definitely worth watching for Black Mirror fans.
