So I've been using subscribe and save about 4 months now and I've had at least 6 items canceled on me for no longer being available as part of the program. Kind if annoying, but it still beats going to the grocery store for giant boxes of laundry detergent.
I found subscribe and save to be way less awesome than I thought it would be.
When I first discovered it I was giddy: 20% off, o yeah. Then I found it hard to find things that we used regularly enough in reasonable quantities. It's just me, my wife, and
infant son. Having to purchase a lifetime supply eliminates the need for a subscription.
Excitement level was dramatically lower, but I still spent an hour subscribing to enough stuff and staggering it so that I always got the 5 item minimum to get the 20%. I used a spreadsheet to arrange the scheduling and intended to track my usage to tweak it as needed. Then before the third delivery they had cancelled half the stuff I had subscribed to totally ####### up my superawesome spreadsheet.
Now we only have a few "regulars" on there, and I just randomly tack on items as needed to get the 20% discount. I hope toothpaste doesn't expire.
