Both from Rotoworld....................

Nathan Vasher is expected to miss at least one month with a partially torn groin muscle.A big blow to the Bears' defense, which is made even bigger by the fact that Charles Tillman is also hurting. Tillman will miss two weeks. Roy Manning Jr. is expected to start in Vasher's place, with seventh-round pick Trumaine McBride replacing Tillman. Suddenly the Chicago defense doesn't look like a bad matchup in fantasy leagues.Source: Chicago Sun Times
Charles Tillman is expected to miss at least two games with a sprained right ankle. With Nathan Vasher out for a month, the Bears' secondary is officially a mess. Rookie seventh-round pick Trumaine McBride will start in Tillman's place, making him the unlikely first member of the team's 2007 draft class to crack the starting lineup.Source: Chicago Sun Times
Couple these injuries with Tommie Harris missing at least a couple of games and it spells doom for the defending NFC champs

They are the dreaded 'Superbowl loser'. Bad things usually seem to happen to those teams. Its got almost a 'Madden Jinx' kind of a feel.

you forgot about lance briggs, adewale ogun, i think a couple olinemen hurt themselves and they've already lost pro bowler mike brown for season and starter DT dusty D.

so yeah, bears season is done. i'm just glad we're trying something different at QB ...

Briggs should be ready to go according to today's Sun Times. I haven't heard about AO yet. Ruben Brown was on the radio and said he's all good.Mike Brown and DD were givens, everyone knows their seasons are over

Post 1 has both Tillman and Vasher info.Tillman's looking at a couple of weeks too with an ankle sprain.

Kitna may pass for 500 yards this week. He had 442 vs. Philly. The Bears have both starting db's out. Archuletta sucks to begin with and he is banged up as well. Look out.

my bad i'm a bit scatterbrained this morning.i'm just depressed at how the season has started so terribly so quick :)

Has a team ever lost both their CBs, their strong side LB, their best D tackle, and their veteran defensive end all in one game before? This is insane and it should far overshadow the Griese/Grossman debate.

The Cowboys just manhandled the Bears on Monday. I know it hurts Bears fans but it was an exciting game to watch.

Yeah but the loss of Grossman should almost offset the losses on defense :blackdot:
You know what I was thinking? All those years where Grossman got hurt and everyone groaned because they wanted to see what the kid could do. Now, the last two years, we've got a superbowl caliber team only to see the defense decimated with injuries and Grossman stays healthy and to really ruin it!

This really dims the appeal of the 10/7 sunday night game at Lambeau. I was really looking forward to seeing all those all-pros in the flesh. Maybe I'll just dump my tickets, stay home and clean the house or something ...

I've said all along that Griese was a better QB than Wrecks!

I still think Kyle Orton is their best QB. I've taken plently of heat for that, but the kid has had time to mature and he was a winner previously.

Sneaky play with the defense downgraded may be to target Bears WR's? They won't be able to pound the ball and win with their defense. Griese will have to throw to Berrian, Mushy and company.

The season is never over. Either the Bears will rally around the vets on this team and overcome adversity or....they will feel sorry for themselves and be in for a long season...only to draft Brian Brohm.

I am going with the first option.....this team is too good to let injuries damper their hopes.

Heck let Hester play QB, at least it would be exciting.

I could not believe how MIII shredded the Bears D. Is Dallas that good, or are the bears that bad on D now??????????? I had the Bears D last season, and after watching them get pushed around play after play, I felt alittle sorry for that guy that when all out for the Bears D during the draft (ok, it is alittle funny I guess)...

I don't know what could help the Bears right now...

Oh well. I guess the Bears season really is over then.

Packers played the Bills a couple years ago with 2 regular starters on defense.

It's attrition - injuries mounting as well as the Bears defense being on the field. Dallas had the ball for 35 minutes in the last game, KC had it for 29 minutes, and the Chargers had the ball for 37 minutes. The fact that the offense can't stay on the field long enough to allow the defense to rest is wearing them down. Look at the Dallas and Charger games - both teams were successful running the ball late because those guys were worn out.
