I find skyfire to be buggy. When it works it works great.2.2 default browser has flash also :wub:BTW - Verizon charging $10 for Video in the NFL App starting 9/1 :mad:At least you get all VOD content for that freaking $10 - even their regular content

Just got my Incredible today, so I'm trying to figure out what all of this stuff means. Will be looking through the thread extensively

I'm guessing it's been mentioned but the above post reminded me. Directv has a nice app as well to manage your DVR.

nm. Found the gps but it says my location is in another city.
The gps on the droid gets confused every now and then. Could be OS, could be hardware. It had me smack in the middle of Lake Michigan yesterday. Not even close. Sometimes a power off/on helps. Sometimes waiting a day.

Fantasy Guru (keeps up with my yahoo baseball and will with my football too)
what does this do
When it loads, I chose among the sports...baseball for now.Takes me right to any leagues I am in with my yahoo ID.Then gives me a nice interface to view my roster, set it, player search and pretty much anything from yahoo's fantasy stuff.
Very nice
so it is just for yahoo

Do you guys have "Use GPS satellites" checked? Otherwise it just uses wireless networks and can be pretty inaccurate. Also, when mine was buggy the other day it got fixed just by un-checking and re-checking that option. This is on Eris.

Yes. I never use the wireless networks for location. It gets close, but isn't good for navigation. Sometimes disabling gps, then re-enabling helps. Other times I have to power off/on.

Also, I know the google maps is still in Beta, so the gps might not be as robust as another Navigation program

DOes anyone know how to make Handcent the default SMS tool and disable the built in SMS tool? Every time I get a text, Handcent pops up (so I guess its already the default, actually) but then I also get a notification through the standard SMS tool. How do I disable that?

Also, Froyo (coming to the EVO on Tueday) has copy/paste in GMail, which has been my biggest gripe about the phone.

Go into your default messaging app and bring up the menu and go to settings, disable Notifications.

Thanks. Was also trying to figure this out. :)

Can't get my email set up. Keeps saying it can't verify.
yahoo?
Tried my yahoo and google account. Same thing.
The standard mail client is completely integrated with gmail. not sure what's going on there. yahoo mail was a problem at one time, not sure if it still is. yahoo was making you get their premium package or something if you wanted mobile integration with their email. there were some workarounds listed, but i just use my browser to check it now.

i need to get busy on this thing.

havnt configured my handcent

havnt set up podcasts

havnt set up/used visual voicemail

Do you have wi-fi or bluetooth on?Turn that off first. yahoo does not work with wi-fi enabled.I have yahoo, comcast and gmail all synced with no issues (other than wi-fi enabled)ETA: Bluetooth can be on but when originally setting it up turn it off.

Anyone use the RedPokerClub holdem application? Anyone having any problems with it (connectivity)? Anyone know of another serviceable multiplayer holdem game for the Droid?

Try k-9 Mail app.
Could you elaborate on k-9? Saw it mentioned on a Google forum but looks a little shakey on Marketplace...
What do you want to know? I use 2 Yahoo accounts and 2 G-Mail accounts and it integrates them all at once. Does everything I need and just seems to work better and smoother than the regular mail app that comes on the phone.

I've been using it about a month. It's much more feature rich than the standard email app. One of the biggest things for me was I couldn't open or forward attachments with the standard (not gmail) email client. This also does push/pull email. I'm still getting used to it and really haven't explored too deeply into it's capabilities, but it does what I need.http://code.google.com/p/k9mail/

Not sure what you are trying to do, but if you have an aux in you can just get a cable that goes from the headphone jack to the aux in

Can I snyc up my phone to the radio in my car? I'd love to do this
You can using BT or a FM modulator
I looked this up but I may have to get someone to show me how. I'm not very good at that sort of thing. Looks like I could also hook up a jack from my phone directly to my stereo also. :goodposting:
My Droid X is on back order and have not done this myself but in theory, an FM transmitter should work ala an iPod.Hook up FM transmitter to phone (headphone jack). Tune car radio station to an unused frequency (88.1 works best here in South Seattle) and turn on the Pandora or whatever online radio station you are streaming through your phone. The FM transmitter will send the radio stream through your car stereo via the unused fm radio frequency. This is how I listen to my iPod in my personal vehicle but have not tried it with a phone.

:tumbleweed:Will have to try this. For some reason, I think I'm getting Handcent popups while I'm already in Handcent having the conversation... is that normal?

Just got my 2.2 update. Seemless so far. I like the new quick buttons at the bottom. Where can I find a list of new features?
