January 31, 2007 - Two sons of Eagles Coach Andy Reid appear to be in hot water. One of the incidents happened in West Conshohocken, the other a few miles away in Plymouth Township.
Investigators say 24-year-old Garrett Reid blew the light and broadsided a red Ford Taurus at Germantown Pike and Arch Road.
Police say they found drug paraphernalia inside his SUV.
Reid wasn't injured, but the driver of the other car, a 55-year-old woman from Mount Carmel, Pa. had to be cut from the car with the jaws of life.
She was treated and released from the hospital.
Police also took Reid to a hospital, where he gave up a blood sample for drug and alcohol testing.
Earlier in the day, his 21-year-old brother, Britt Reid, was involved in an alleged road rage incident on Front Road in West Conshohocken.
Reports indicate that he exchanged words and gestures with another driver, and then displayed a gun.
Authorities served a search warrant at Andy Reid's Villanova home looking for the gun. Police believe they found it, but officials say that's not necessarily a crime if you have a permit.
The district attorney's office says they're trying to determine if he has a license to carry a weapon. They're also looking into the circumstances involved.
Both young men live with their parents in Villanova.
Coach Reid and his wife, Tammy, were in California and returned home without comment.
The lawyer representing the Reid boys says they are cooperating, but they won't have any public statements.
