Anyone else see Skip Bayless on ESPN yesterday say that SF was going to take Santonio Holmes with the sixth pick... why does this man have a job?

ESPN is just heading into the crapper.

Your kidding right?
you would think so, wouldn't you? no, he said this was his surprise pick of the draft that no one would see coming.

It seems as if ESPN is just trotting out all of these "experts" just to throw loads of crap and hope that something sticks. That way, when something does actually stick, they can say "So and so of ESPN projected this."

ESPN has gotten so big it needs to fill air space,so it settles for idiots like Bayless and Stephen A. and puts out the WORST original programming on tv. They've gotten away from the core programming that made them successful. Is that The NFL Network I see sneaking up behind them?

i dont know they dont offer the NFL Network here in VA

I lived in Dallas in the 80's when Bayless was the up and coming columnist for the Dallas Morning Snooze. Needless to say, it was common knowledge just to "skip" Bayless as his columns were meant to inflame and incite rather than having any insightful information to add.

I think the quote was actually that he thought the PACKERS should pick him at 5 overall! He prefaced it by saying Mel Kiper would call it a reach.AND He said about a week ago... San Fran should "cut their losses" and draft Vince Young (and CUT Alex Smith)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I wonder if Skip has no pride and says these things for shock value and doesn't care what people think of him...

OR

is he that dumb?

Alert: Joe Bryant.

If we are going to list the things that makes Skip Bayless and/or ESPN idiots we may need to enlist a backup server.
good call. Finally, people are seeing the light.....

WHy are you guys even wasting your time watching him?
 The unintentional comedy factor? Same reason we watch David Caruso on CSI - Miami.
That is priceless. We comment all the time down here on the beach that Caruso was such an AWFUL choice as the lead for the Miami CSI show.

The gringo has the tan base of an eskimo.

He's either that dumb, or paid to make Woody Paige look good. It is definitely one of the two.

:bye: ESPN  HELLO NFL Network.

What reason is there to watch ESPN anymore? I find it sad that all they play is bowling, poker and showa about hot rods, instead of in depth info about real sports.

Everything that I hear on ESPN is just gossip mostly about what TO is doing, how the Parcells/Jones relationship is going.

NFL newtork is far better.

Priceless.

This is coming from Buffalo's message board, but apparently this was the beginning of Skip Bayless's mock draft on Cold Pizza today:

1 Houston: Vince Young

2 NO: Reggie Bush

3 Tennessee: Jay Cutler

4 NY Jets: Winston Justice

5 Green Bay: Michael Huff

6 San Fran: LenDale White

7 Oakland: Antonio Cromarte

8 Buffalo: Santonio Holmes

9 Detroit: D'Brick

:X

I seriously hope that that's not true. If it is, he should be fired immediately.

That defies explanation.

Worst mock I've ever seen. VY is not in the top 2, Bush is probably right. VY will go to Tenn. No way Justice is top 6. White isn't even top 20 IMHO, yet picking him over a healthy DeAngelo or Maroney? Cromarte, Holmes top 10? Buffalo passing on D'Brick and taking Santonio after bringing in Andre Davis and Peerless Price? This guy has a job!?

Woody's mock was the worst I'd seen sans Skip. Bayless just trumped his idiocy. These two just cemented themselves as the most clueless NFL reporters on network T.V.. And it is just for shock value, as its common to see Woody say something opposite Skip just for the sake of argument on Cold Pizza, then turn around and make the case for the other side of the argument on Around the Horn. Dippy T.V.. That does it, I'm going dish.

NFL Network is part of ESPN. I doubt they are sneeking up anywhere....
