You're a local, aren't you? Did you gab with him?Good to know he's doing Chicago. Been thinking of making a trip up there to see what all the fuss is about. I was there briefly 30+ years ago and all I remember is the Science Museum and the waterfront.i was having lunch this afternoon here in chicago and a very cool gourmet hot dog joint called "Hot Doug". it's popular and always has a line snaking out the door. we put our order in and go outside to sit. to my left, as i exit, is anthony bourdain and he's gabbing with the locals. has a pretty small crew around him filming. i text K4 because i thought i remembered she had a crush on the guy....

A Coronet slice was about the size of a V&T's pizza. But I only had them at 3 a.m. whilst drunk. In addition to the pizza, though, the sandwiches at V&T's were outstanding. SANDRA LEE: Pure evil. This frightening Hell Spawn of Kathie Lee and Betty Crocker seems on a mission to kill her fans, one meal at a time. She Must Be Stopped. Her death-dealing can-opening ways will cut a swath of destruction through the world if not contained. I would likely be arrested if I suggested on television that any children watching should promptly go to a wooded area with a gun and harm themselves. What’s the difference between that and Sandra suggesting we fill our mouths with Ritz Crackers, jam a can of Cheez Wiz in after and press hard? None that I can see. This is simply irresponsible programming. Its only possible use might be as a psychological warfare strategy against the resurgent Taliban--or dangerous insurgent groups. A large-racked blonde repeatedly urging Afghans and angry Iraqis to stuff themseles with fatty, processed American foods might be just the weapon we need to win the war on terror.

Just saw the "Spain" episode the other day. Man, it made me want to go to Spain.I just saw the "Tokyo" episode. It was good, but it was still disappointing that they spent a 1/3 of it outside Tokyo. There is enough material to do 4 episodes on Tokyo alone, why did they feel the need to spread it around between Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka (which already had its own episode by the way)?Still, I think they nailed the overall theme of the episode... detail & subtlety.
