Yeah and everyone who had LT last year won the title.I'm willing to bet 95% of all people who grabbed him in round 3 are 2-0.

Single most valuable FF Player.
You're not serious about this, are you?Not even in the ballpark.Marc Levin said:Todd Heap - almost as valuable in PPR leagues and I didn't have to sacrifice a 3rd round RB or WR to get him.I'm willing to bet 95% of all people who grabbed him in round 3 are 2-0.Single most valuable FF Player.
FWIW, I grabbed Winslow 2 years ago in a contract and salary dynasty league for the league minimum and have him signed for the equivalent of $4 in a $100 cap (for the next 3 years). The Gates owner pays him $15 (for the next 2).Call it cherry picking if you want, but in this case I've got the better value. (and that's all we're talking about here, value)CalBear said:I'd bet that those who drafted Gates and grabbed Randy Moss and Lamont Jordan later are doing even better! You're cherry-picking.Papa Schnay said:I'd bet that those who drafted the #1 WR and grabbed Winslow later are doing better than these Gates owners so far.In my league, there's 1 point of seperation between the two so far.
No, he's not. This isn't in the ballpark, either. If he was the most valuable FF player to have, he'd be picked #1 every year. That's the definition of "most valuable". Period.Single most valuable FF Player.![]()

Pretty close, but not quite there, regarding "most valuable" as this gentleman means it.There is always a good case, using post-season numbers, why guys like Gates and formerly Gonzo, and why guys like PManning (and, for a while, the big-three WRs of Harrison, Moss and TO) are the MVFPs over the #1 RB.But, I know what you are saying. And, BTW, I truly believe Heap will be the TE2 this year, and will come close to Gates' FF numbers in PPR leagues by seasons end. I am much more comfortable having selected Heap a few rounds later than Gates in most of my leagues. If he was the most valuable FF player to have, he'd be picked #1 every year. Without even touching your assessment of Heap finishing 2nd over Gonzo/Winslow/Witten/etc, I will examine this. Ok, sure Heap has a very good chance of being the 2nd best TE and can be had a few rounds later. If you look at ceiling vs. basement, this is where Gates prooves more valuable then Heap. Todd's best year: 855 and 7Gate's best year: 964 and 13Todd's worst year: 693 and 3Gates worst year: 924 9Sure, Heap might finish in 2nd but it could very well be a massive difference (about 3 ff ppg). Add in that Gates is being used more as a WR then ever before and thus we could see Gates improve even more where as I believe Heap has hit his max potential.Pretty close, but not quite there, regarding "most valuable" as this gentleman means it.There is always a good case, using post-season numbers, why guys like Gates and formerly Gonzo, and why guys like PManning (and, for a while, the big-three WRs of Harrison, Moss and TO) are the MVFPs over the #1 RB.But, I know what you are saying. And, BTW, I truly believe Heap will be the TE2 this year, and will come close to Gates' FF numbers in PPR leagues by seasons end. :(Why is Gates likely to improve, but Heap has hit his max potential? With the way he was being used against the Jets, he was being used exactly like his bust out/max potential years. And he was lining up at wideout a lot. TEs IMPROVE with a little age. Not the other way around.Add in that Gates is being used more as a WR then ever before and thus we could see Gates improve even more where as I believe Heap has hit his max potential.
I guess, even with Heap lining up WR, I just don't see in that Baltimore offense much room for anything more then 900 and 8.Add in that Gates is being used more as a WR then ever before and thus we could see Gates improve even more where as I believe Heap has hit his max potential. Why is Gates likely to improve, but Heap has hit his max potential?
