Any Electrical Engineers? Christmas lights..... (1 Viewer)

So I have a couple of gagillion foot c9 led strands. 2 years old. They will not light. Checked all the breakers etc, tested fuses for resistance, swapped them with new anyway. Pulled a few random LEDs. I can get a very dim light with my multimeter or a 1.5v battery. A 9 volt lights it fully then pops it obviously.

Thoughts?

Get new lights. I had some regular lights that finally bit the dust this year and instead of checking up to 600 different bulbs, just got some LED lights. They work like a dream.

These are led's which is why it is strange.

I am about to toss them.

Thinking just a broken/breaking wire, bet if you completely straightened them out they'd work since the strands would all connect when they weren't bent and there's some current getting transmitted atm. Gonna either have to find the place the wires are breaking, or replace the thing.
