Any gas left in the Cadillac? (1 Viewer)

Eerily similar to what plagues his nemesis Big Old Stone.

I think Caddy rebounds some, but I wouldn't really consider him a buy low. More like a hold-low.

Starting off against Baltimore, Atlanta and Carolina will do that. Add to that the back issue and the QB play. Assuming healthy is not an issue (but it always is with Caddy), his better games are ahead of him.

I agree. You can't get much for him now and his numbers might not improve much because his problems are not his own to solve and are numerous so trading for him might be a mistake.

This isn't going to help the upcoming game:

“He got sick today,” said Gruden ruefully. “He’s doing much better [with his knee]. We’re disappointed he wasn’t able to give it a go today, but he has an illness, a virus. Hopefully he’ll be ready to go in some capacity Wednesday. I won’t rule him out of the game but I won’t say he’s going either.”

Gruden is talking about the best OL in the preseason, rookie G Davin Joseph.

If you can afford to stash him on your bench and not rely on him, I think it is time to trade for him. You don't want to give up someone starting for you every week, but if someone is willing to sell low enough that it doesn't have a huge impact on your starters, why not give it a go? That team sitting there with Holt, Houshmandzedah, Braylon, Colston, and Cotchery can't start them all every week. Might as well throw out some feelers to the Caddy owner.

After two decent performances, I can still get him pretty cheap...like a Maroney.(Redraft) Has he rebounded and should the Bucs be relying more on the run to set up their rookie QB? He does have a tougher schedule, but he is the bonafide starter whereas some other options are not. His TD production is down as well, but I think the Bucs are getting things in order and they should come. How about his receptions? Does he get pulled on third down? What do you guys think?

He hasn't seen the ball inside the 5 yard line and that is my only concern. The line is beginning to open some nice holes for him and his YPC is way up... He looks as explosive as ever!!! I wouldnt mind seeing him get a few more carries, but he is one of a small group of running backs that are the main ball carrier for their team... If he starts getting goalline looks he will be the back everyone expected when they drafted him.

If you can still get him cheap I would do it although his schedule is brutal!

Actually, in the week 7 RB post, he has gotten the ball inside the 5, but just hasn't scored. Although I would prefer he got it every time.

I'm trying to unload him this week. Fred and Chester Taylor along with Thomas Jones are my other RBs.

Getting some bite from a team deep at WR.

I'll chime back if I get a deal done.

Keeper? Ifnot you got a heck of a deal. This guy wants Maroney & A. Johnson for Caddy and Ch. Chambers. That is why I was asking...

Anyone have thoughts on his dynasty/keeper prospects? Bloom still has him ranked pretty highly...14th I think. Based on this year, this seems really high. And why do we think things will improve next year? What does TB do in the offseason?

I still think he's a valuable guy in dynasty/keeper leagues. Let's not forget that he showed some serious skills last year winning ROY.The other thing that may help his cause is that Alstott will most likely hang it up after this year, and Pittman could be gone.

IMO Caddy needs 20+ carries per game, around 25. He gets better with more carries. If not given the opportunity, forget it.

Week #1 :wall: 8 carries 22 yds

Week #2 :wall: 15 carries 37 yds

Week #3  19 carries 48 yds 1TD

Week #5 :) 20 carries 111 yds

Week #6 :) 19 carries 94 yds

Week #7 :) 23 carries 82yds

Week #8 :wall: 8 carries 20yds

I know I know, Tampa's behind alot but try to stick with the run more.!

Gruden is keeping Caddy from being productive.

Why in the world he would have a rookie Qb throw the ball 48 times in adverse wind conditions while only giving Caddy 8 carries is beyond me.

I don't care what the score is that is just terrible play calling.

He isnt a FF starter any longer. His dynasty value is dropping IMO..I dont want him and most have lost faith. His owners want to much..He is in the J Lewis tier... :bye:

Agreed. I've never understood the desire by some head coaches to put the game in the hands of a QB who's playing poorly. Cadillac wasn't lighting the world on fire but only giving him 8 carries in a game that was reasonably close throughout was ridiculous. The best chance the Bucs had was to try and pound away with Cadillac. That would not only keep the ball away from Manning and the Giants but also lessen the pressure on Gradkowski, who clearly was incapable of winning this game today.

In the pregame discussion, the announcers even mentioned that Gradkowski told them to expect a heavy dose of Cadillac. But somewhere along the line, Chucky had different plans.
