I know it sounds crazy, but I am thinking about benching Gates vs Jacksonville this weekend because of Rivers. Plus, I have a pretty solid 2nd option starting Shockey vs Lions.

Just curious, is anyone else actually benching the best TE in football this weekend?

I was planning on benching him for Miller this week due to the match up, but the 90% chance for rain and my gut are telling me to start him...

4/54/1, a very good game from Gates. Regardless of what the concerns are, I think Gates is one of maybe 8 players (Brady, Tomlinson, Peterson, Westbrook, Moss, Owens, Housh, off the top of my head) that you don't bench for any reason. You just don't.

i agree. especially since most gates owners didnt bother locking up another tight end.

He was barely targeted in the first 3 quarters making me nervous but he did end up with a good game.
