Any news on Barber? (1 Viewer)

As a Barber owner in a league (pains me I have a Cowboy), but an Eagles fan .... I hope they put Jones back there.... Romo won't finish the game! :(

I think the problem with Jones is that he can't block. A big problem in pass protection, not that they needed it yesterday.
 all i've heard about him is that the coaching staff loves everything about him.. especially the fact that he blocks so well as a rookie. during the broadcast yesterday Aikman and Buck went out of their way to show plays where he picked up the blitz. :P
I think the jury is still out on what kind of blocker Jones is... or will be for that matter. But he got absolutely blown up on the play where Romo through the pick in the endzone. And that's all anyone remembers from that game.
jury definitely still out. people shouldn't put too much stock in one play, on the first game of an NFL career.

The 16 is based on his historic results on carries 16+. He "appears" to wear down when he passes that limit.

The injury part is due to him always running so hard... he can't run that hard and hold up for too long.
Yes, I recall that analysis and it seemed made up too. I mean seriously... "historic results" on Barber getting more than 16 carries? Who are you kidding Switz?
Actually it's not made up... it's true...
He's ran hard his whole life, including college, and this is his first injury that I recall.
You mean missing nearly an entire season in college doesn't count?
Wow, very honored my quote made your "prove you wrong" epithets....Felix looked very good, but not excellent after first contact. I think he needs to learn to stay on his feet through weak tackling attempts... Very explosive, but needs to get tougher at the point of contact.
Geez...did any of y'all watch his touchdown run? He pushed three (3) guys into the endzone. And we're talking about 5'10", 200 lbs--he's not quite the Nigerian Nightmare. He essentially played the entire 2nd half as the 'feature back' and averaged almost 7 yards a carry and picked up every blitz but one. He's not ready for the Hall but y'all are WAY over-analyzing this one...give him and the O-Line their due props, period.
