Any news on Dallas Clark? (1 Viewer)

I missed part of the game...what exactly happened (heard knee) and how bad did it look?
I didn't even notice it until the announcers were talking about him going to the locker room.He actually came out of the locker room and came in to play for a couple of downs when the Bears got the safety....then after halftime he was in street clothes. If they thought he was OK enought to try and play, I doubt its that serious.

I think they showed him in street cloths on the sideline in the second half. As a Clark owner, hopefully it is not bad.

He left the game midway through the first-half with a knee injury. He then went to the locker room under his own power but returned at the end of the first-half. He played one series in the second-half and left the game again and did not return.Peyton Manning didn't really look his way in the passing game. Clark was only thrown to twice, and once was a tight-end screen. From a blocking standpoint, he looked lost. He was primarily responsible for the play that ended up getting Manning sacked on the one-yard line, which led to a safety on the next play. Earlier in the game I also noticed he was a liability when he stayed on the line to block.

All I can find right now.....

From CBS Sports.com......

Knee injuries can obviously end up serious, so you should be a little concerned if you own Clark, one of QB Peyton Manning's favorite red-zone targets, in Fantasy. Don't panic just yet, though. He might not miss any time at all. He's more in the second tier of Fantasy tight ends than an elite option, but he deserves to start in all leagues when healthy. The Colts visit the Vikings in Week 2.

Not much, but like I said, all I can find right now.

I may have to take issue with CBS a little on labeling him a "second tier" guy. He was the No. 1 TE for a portion of last season in my league (pretty standard performance scoring).

I am a Clark owner and also owned him last year. Besides the injury, I'm a little concerned how he was used last night before getting hurt. The Colts seemed to line up in 3 WR sets a lot with Harrison and Wayne on the outside and Gonzalez in the slot. Clark was mostly on the line and sometimes lined up in the backfield. He didn't seem too involved in the passing game and stayed in a lot more to block. Last year, with Harrison out, it seemed that Clark almost always lined up in the slot and was essentially a 3rd WR.I'm definitely going to pick up another TE this week because of the injury and also because of the way he was involved in the passing game last night. I don't want to overreact but I can't see him putting up numbers close to what he did last year if this is the way he's going to be used.

Still cannot find much info on Clark. Anybody heard anything yet? Thought he had an MRI on Monday. Colts keeping the results quiet?
