Any news on New Orlean's WR#2 (1 Viewer)

I'm curious if anyone has any info on who is going into the season with the #2 spot. I need a temp fill until Marshall comesback the following week.

This depth chart has Patten listed behind Colston and Henderson starting opposite, with Meachem behind him:

Saints site has same except Meachem third-string behind Henderson and Copper

And this one is different still:

WTF? Looks like its up in the air. My money is on their first-round pick who has had the best preseason of any Saints receiver, Robert Meachem.

Just read on rotoworld or fantasysharks that Meachem is now the #2.... but I don't know how accurate that is.

ProFootballWeekly seems to have it as Colston and Patten at WR1-2 with Henderson at WR3 and Meachem at WR4 at this point.

-- Saints Trust Henderson More than Meachem --

Mon Sep 1, 2008 --from FFMastermind.com

The New Orleans Saints' coaching staff still views WR Devery Henderson as a top-three receiver, and his main competition, WR Robert Meachem, who looked like he would surpass Henderson on the depth chart early in camp, may be having issues with consistency. According to PFW, the Saints trust Henderson more at this point, and it will stay that way until Meachem corrects some of his route running and missed assignments. WR Marques Colston and WR David Patten are the team's top two receivers.

No matter who it is officially my money is on Meachem to have the best season. This preseason it just looked like a light turned on in the offseason, and he decided to live up to his potential. I could easily see 60+ catches and maybe 800-900 yards.

he looks healthy which was the only impediment to his development last year.
