Any word on Curtis Martin? (1 Viewer)

Was he on PUP or IR?
PUP - he can come back after week 6, but I wouldn't expect much out of him even if he's healthy. I think his workload will be more ceremonial and out of appreciation for longstanding service than anything. Mangini doesn't have the ties to him like Herm did.

Martin is done. His knee is damaged beyond repair. He could play if he wanted to, but he'd just be doing more damage to the leg, thus guaranteeing that he'll be a cripple when he's 50.

Is this just a feeling that you have, or are you going off of something that you've read somewhere?(I'm not asking you to post a link if you don't feel like finding it -- just curious if you remember reading something that made you think this, or if you are just talking out of your ###...)

There's a good collection of links here

cut him and move on with your life :bye:
this is probably a good idea.Or to drop+pick him up in week 6 and wait a week to hear, just in case.Everything I've gotten from reading about him and the NYJ is he's welcome to play if he wants to. They've seemed to make it that simple. Is it respect? Lack of a productive back? That the youngsters could learn from him? Whatever reason you like it does seem that simple.
