Anybody rolling with Hoyer? (1 Viewer)

Enticing, but Thursdays are scary, its not just a myth, proven that QBs fall below the mean on Thursdays. Rolling with Pryor instead...

I am with Griffin off. Think he should do well at home against a beat Bills secondary. Thoughts?
same situation in my keeper league. think he'll do fine at home against Buffalo.

they have a tough schedule coming up though, not sure how often he'll be startable the rest of the season.

Got Gordan and will roll with Hoyer over Schaub. Hopefully the Thurs nite curse is broken this week

I feel dirty saying this but I am starting Hoyer over Brady this weekend. I am the underdog, the Bengals defense is much better then the Bills and it is supposed to rain in Ohio this weekend. I feel so dirty, I love Brady too. I am already 2nd guessing this.

I've got a rebuild where he's been a godsend, I've been starting him over Dalton without a second thought since he was named the starter.

Not sure what significance the rain has, Brady puts up 30 plus in a frozen squall. People are sleeping on the Bills, they got to Flacco last week 5 int's,(Did give up late garbage yardage) that being said I still expect a Jon Kitna like 250 yds 2td 3 int statline...

I wouldn't say I'm starting him with the upmost confidence, I hate TNF players, but my other option is Luck vs the Hawks. Who, if they have a weak spot, it's their run D.

I will say this, if Hoyer puts up a solid stat line tomorrow, he's got a good chance of being the waiver wire gem of twenty-thriteen.

He just played an equally good Bengals defense and threw 0 interceptions.

He is the QB 10 in my league through two games. I did start him over Eli and will do so again. In another league I wouldn't think of starting him over Brees. I do agree with the comment above that if he can put up top 10 numbers for a third straight game, he becomes a reliable start.

Im playing against him this week in my league. Will be interesting to see how it goes. I could see him going off, I could see him getting eaten alive too. Hopefully its pretty low scoring like these mostly awful Thursday games are.

I'm co-managing a league with a friend (I ran his draft, give him weekly roster advice but final decisions are up to him). He dropped Russell Wilson to pick up and start Hoyer this week. I advised against it ... we'll see how that goes :scared:

My alternatives are Russel Wilson @IND and Terrelle Pryor vs SD...

never mind Hoyer, I'd take my chances with just about anyone facing Buffalo at home.

Why are you playing Hoyer when you have options??

I am forced to play him since my two QBs are on bye . . .

Starting over kap. Honestly i think hes a lock for 200 yds and 2 tds vs that defense and with those two studs

I know what he's done. Plenty of guys have done well in one or two games only to flop and disappear from the NFL. I can't see playing him over established starters like Luck or Kaep.

That being said, you do have a point - Football Outsiders rated him the #6 QB last week.

I am starting him, but not with confidence.

Hoyer tore up the Bengals defense last week. Do you really believe Tom Terrific will do so any less? Having said that, Hoyer saved my ### last week with A. Rodgers on bye, got me a win I didn't deserve. I'd still go with Brady this week.

I can't start Kaep with confidence anyway until he shows me something...so rolling with Hoyer this week.

Browns are near the top in pass attempts and have not one, but two of the sickest young emergent receiving options in the league. Choo choo.

I do agree but a few things swayed me. First Gordon and Cameron are light years ahead of anything Brady has had to work with so far this year. Second, that was a classic trap game for the Bengals, they just beat a good Packers team at home and shut down a great passing game, only to go on the road to in the division to play what many thought would be a bad team and having an undefeated team coming back to your house the next week. The Browns don't have the run game that the Patriots do, thus forcing Hoyer to throw more than Brady not only against the Bengals but probably this week too, giving him more chances to score points.

If I knew Amendola or Gronk or both were playing for sure this week I would probably go Brady but the game is Thursday so I have to make my decision tonight.

:hifive:

Let's do this, yo.

Because he has 92 pass attempts in the last 2 weeks, and Cleveland's run game has been poor. This is a throwing team. Plus, Buffalo is really beat up in the secondary. The "expert" fantasy sites are ranking him too low this week.

Bengals were without 3 top DBs - Nelson Leon Hall Kirkpatrick
