Anyone buying or selling Walker? (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to sell him right now since I need wins, but just not getting fair value.

One deal is a packaged deal, and the owner said he will decide tomorrow

I give

Walker, Colsten, Crotchery

get

Owens, S. Moss

I just received Javon Walker yesterday for Lee Evans.I'd say I bought low with hopes he returns to similar form from earlier in the year.
Evans has sucked even when healthy. The same can't be said of Walker. Great trade. I'm trying to buy Walker in a package deal-here's hoping his injury doesn't linger. After the first two weeks he was one of the most targeted wr's.

I traded Cotchery and Chris Brown for Walker. Essentially it was Cotchery for Walker for me because I would've ended up dropping Brown most likely. I did this because I am 5-0 and can afford to be weaker at my WR3 (have Holt and Driver) and lose a game or two until Walker is back in full swing. I see Walker as more of a big game guy while Cotchery is just consistent without many TDs. Looks like he should be back for Week 7 though anyway. I saw him as a great buy low.... ranked way too low on FBG top 250 forward IMO.

At 1-4, I am holding Walker. I just can't get good return value b/c of his knee issues. I figure I might as well hold on, hope he comes back strong, & pray for a hot streak.

I inquired about Walker's availability in my auction league-his owner desparately needs RBs. He said he would trade him: for MJD and Edge!

For both of them? Wow, I own Walker and it is clear to me that he is not worth either of those two right now. The Walker owner in your league sounds delusional.

Yeah, for both. When I responded that I didn't think that trade would work for me, he offered to "sweeten" the deal by throwing in Earnest Graham! It's a keeper league with a salary cap. Walker is fairly cheap and could be kept, but so is MJD. Edge and Graham would not make good keepers. I had to tell him thanks, but no thanks (because he is one of the few owners in my league who will make trades-& and I don't want to burn that bridge), but I think he's freakin' nuts.

3 weeks ago, I made a trade of Edge for Walker and the commish overturned the trade. (Which now, I'm obviously quite happy that he did.) Walker's injury sounds like it might linger for awhile. I'd say you should be able to get him cheap right now, but I wouldn't do it if you needed an immediate boost at the WR position. He would definitely be worth getting with an eye towards the end of the year if you can get him for a good price. I've since traded for Holt, but otherwise, I would probably have tried to revisit my Edge trade about a week or two from now.

Why would that have been overturned? Somebody needs to punch your commish in the face.

Funny, I've been offered Walker + for Evans. Somehow I'm not sure I like it.
WHAT ?! Evans is worth more than Walker ?!?!?!?!?!
I ended up taking it:Evans, Lee BUF WRHackett, D.J. SEA WRforBooker, Lorenzo MIA RBWalker, Javon DEN WRYear 2008 Round 3 Draft Pick I'm actually not sure that Booker and the 3rd vs. Hackett is a "+", but I consider it to be.

I offered Brian Leonard and Chambers for Walker and was refused. I thought it was pretty fair as he is the S.Jax owner and needs a RB.

my gut says,Walker is the yardage rec.Marshall is the TDs(not all of them...but the majority). We'll see.
I just ended up with both because I traded Ward for Marshall (PPR league). I'm not sure which has the highest value going forward, but I'll try to move one - I offered Walker to the Larry Johnson owner and he's thinking about it...

i just traded selvin young & jerry porter for walker & deion branch to the henry owner.

i hope in a couple weeks this looks like a good idea for me.

I just traded DeShaun Foster and Roy Williams and got Portis and Walker in return.

The Walker owner's been killed by BYE weeks and injuries and wanted someone who was healthy, so he was willing to give up Portis to get Roy.

I'm hoping that I can flip Portis in a week or 2 to an RB starved owner.

True. I didn't want to get into a lot of ACF type detail, but the Walker owner also has Andre Johnson and Deion Branch. With Walker's status for week 7 uncertain, and his other top WR's also injured he wanted to have at least one healthy guy and didn't want to play the waiting game with Walker anymore.

I can't cough up too much for him in dynasty... that knee sounds like trouble...

If I was an Dynasty owner... I would look to move him this year myself.

Really? I see it as the opposite. This doesn't appear to be a long-term thing, meaning he's got more dynasty value that in re-draft where he could potentially miss a few games.Maybe it's just me though.

That was a good offer. :goodposting: Only a fool would have turned down that trade.

I traded Walker for MJD and a middle 2nd 2008 pick. First year dynasty team that was hit with too many injuries and bad luck. Those knees scared me and I already had Cutler, Graham, and Scheffler.

Is this the same knee he had repaired??? if it is... its already becomin a long term thing and beginning to shorten his career.

QFT... I keep seeing quotes from Walker saying this is totally unrelated to his surgery, but it IS the same knee. I'm going forward assuming this will hinder him all year, and I agree that it could be the sign of something chronic in future years as well. Sucks for me...oh well.
