Could he come out and have a great game like the last time he returned from injury? Is anyone else starting him? If so your reasoning.
Well D. Moore is very iffy so Yea I would say that is a no brainer, A guy who is probable vs a guy who is highly questionable.I think Julio is a solid WR2 start this week. He's probable and practiced in full Friday. All signs point to go. I'm starting him over Sidney Rice and Denarius Moore.
2 for 9 in week 10, 2 hamstring injuries in the last 6 weeks...I'm certainly thinking about starting him, but its easy to think of reasons to sit him.I can't see any reason to sit him. When he plays, he is great.
.... flip side is that on his return from his first hammy issue, he dropped 3/132/2 on the Colts, with TD's of 50 and 80 yards. As high risk/reward as one can get on a roll of the dice with him today.'reprisal said:2 for 9 in week 10, 2 hamstring injuries in the last 6 weeks...I'm certainly thinking about starting him, but its easy to think of reasons to sit him.I can't see any reason to sit him. I'm playing him for this exact reason. Nearly 30 fantasy points (PPR) on just three catches! With the extremely suspect Minny pass D and double coverage expected on Roddy, I see big numbers for Julio today. (pray his hammy stays loose) I'm rolling with him over McGahee in my flex spot..... flip side is that on his return from his first hammy issue, he dropped 3/132/2 on the Colts, with TD's of 50 and 80 yards. Agreed. I actually think his floor is lower, but between him, Greg Little, Earl Bennett, and Damian Williams, his ceiling is higher.ATL has a great passing matchup, so rolling the dice here with Julio and hoping he will be as productive as the other options, taking the small chance of a spectacular play along with the risk his hammy limits him in his return. It's understandable that people point to what he did against the Colts but I also think folks should recognize that it's far more likely he has a game like Hakeem Nicks had after he came back from a hammy or Miles Austin or most players in the NFL. I hope I am wrong but 4 catches for about 40-50 yds seems far more likely than a repeat performance like what he did against the Colts.
I would still start him over MW. Titans Pass D is not as forgiving as GB's.Would start him over Mike Williams if he didn't go off against GB last week.
Folks would be wise to rest guys coming off hammy issues for at least a week to watch them perform. Nicks and Austin showcased that this year, Julio had 1 big game against Indy and everyone assumed he would flip the switch today. Most players coming off hammy issues have a subpar performance their first week back. It sux but it usually is a process coming back. What happened today? He killed me.
That last game he blew up he was coming off a hammy injury to wasn't he? No reason to think he would have solid stats today in a great matchup..He practiced fully on Friday. Between him and Nate Washington, they'll probably cost me a win this week on my 10-1 team..Folks would be wise to rest guys coming off hammy issues for at least a week to watch them perform. Traditionally most players have mediocre games coming off hammy injuries and most injuries in general. I never start a guy unless I have to if they missed time or full games due to injuries. Sometimes guys have a good showing, but a lot o the time they don't. I own Julio Jones and he was never on my radar today. If he went off then great. Due to bye weeks I did have to play him against Indy but I was shocked he did well. That last game he blew up he was coming off a hammy injury to wasn't he? I hear ya and I'm normally cautious too, especially with hammy's, but when a guy goes full practice, then that's a green light for me..Traditionally most players have mediocre games coming off hammy injuries and most injuries in general.
