Anyone else getting jittery about trading? (1 Viewer)

Just look at all the injuries to FF contributors and we've just finished Week 5.

Finley/Megatron/A.Johnson/Stafford/MAthews/PT Cruiser/R. Bush/Moreno/McFadden/M.Bush/Hillis/R.Grant/Vick...the list goes on. Some more serious than others.

Normally I'm a pretty active trader and generally acquire depth and then begin to trade for studs right around this time

But all the injuries this year have me thinking seriously about deferring trades and valuing depth much more than in the past.

Anyone else thinking similarly?

No.If there were some correlation between injuries from week 1 to present, and injuries from the present to the season's end, I might. But obviously that's ridiculous.

You could argue it the other way too. This flurry of injuries should be accelerating your trading schedule, since many of your depth players / trade bait are bound to get injured sooner or later!

I guess my premise is that week 1 to present rash of injuries is not an anomaly, and that overall injury risk has increased. That may or may not be correct but seems NFL teams are even acknowledging that for example with increased RBBC's, concussion tests, etc.Question is to what extent should it be factored into in-season roster management decisions. I'm thinking more than in the past but also could just be paranoid.

This. The overall injury risk has not increased by any significant margin since last year. There have been no major rule changes. The shift to RBBCs started long ago. The only difference this season is that they're "being more careful with concussions", which is a joke because they aren't at all. But I suppose you might see a concussed player kept out when previously he'd be let back in.
