Anyone had a cornea transplant? (1 Viewer)

I have ***hs dystrophy. My vision was getting blurrier and blurrier. I also had a cataract procedure done at the same time. Same story for my right eye in December.

Tagging. Seeing a cornea specialist tomorrow after general downturn in vision last three months has messed me about a lot. General opthalmologist thinks there's some surface damage and is wanting to weld a placenta to my eyelid because reasons, but not sure I want to be doing that

I have kerataconus, which causes ghosting in my vision. Night driving is horrible for me. My eye doctor has encouraged me to look into it for years, but I've always had almost a phobia of eye procedures. I didn't realize this was as common as it appears to be. I'm also curious to hear others' experiences.

Long time eye patient here. I could blink faster than the people could put the drops in to dilate my pupils. Sound familiar? I would find an opthamologist you can trust and just go for it. I had my eyeballs sucked out, too. (Vitrectomy.) I wanted to see properly more than not being able to read or see the TV. By the end, I could handle the thingie touching my eyeball to test eye pressure. Totally worth it.

I have something different but I would still encourage you to go in and get the procedure. I delayed way too long before getting the ball rolling. Among other things, I stupidly put myself and others at risk by driving, especially at night. Crazy.
