Im down one pt because I have Jared Allen and was going against A winfield. They both hit Moore the other night and it even has both their names in the play by play for the sack but winfield was credited for the full sack in the box score. Does it sound like they will change it?

They shouldn't. I think they got it right. It was definitely Winfield that hit him and he hit him into Allen as he was coming from back side. Just because the force of Winfield's hit forced the QB back into Allen as he was coming from other side does not mean Allen gets credit for 1/2 sack. If anything, I don't think they should of given Allen an asst tackle on the play, which they did.

1-20-MIN36 (:12) M.Moore sacked at MIN 42 for -6 yards (A.Winfield, J.Allen)

When a player gets credit for an "assist" tackle on a sack play he is credited with 1/2 a sack.

This play will either be left alone and the assist will be removed from Allen or they will split the sack and Winfield will lose a solo tackle and get an assist as well.

Split sacks award an assist to each participating player.

It makes no sense to give Allen an assist without a half sack if he was involved in bringing the QB down behind the LOS. Just think about it, if he was involved in that play he would have a 1/2 sack by definition.

I have a similar situation in the Bears/Ravens game. On Forte's 1st fumble he was being held up by Landry and Ray Lewis came in and lit him up and forced the ball out but Landry got credit for the forced fumble. I am hoping this play is changed as well.

This was my thought too since its in the play by play and did give allen an assist. Is the play by play done differenlty than the box score or is it done in conjunction with the box score. I just dont get how they can have it in the play by play and not in the box score.
