I'm currently stuck in this scenario due to the disappearance of Kevin Smith and Reggie Bush's injury. I have other options, but I'm wondering if anyone is also rolling with this vs the Titans. If you started the season with this duo for whatever reason (or Ben Tate alone), obviously week two was nice. Otherwise, it's been pretty dismal.
According to ESPN, Tennessee ranks 29th in fantasy points allowed to RBs so far this season. How do you think the game will flow?
Clearly Ben Tate owners are hoping for a first half Texan slaughter for garbage time stats, and this seems like the best matchup he'll see for a while. He's coming off a game where he fumbled (dreadful news for a Gary Kubiak RB), but I saw this snippet on Rotowire:
Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said he still has confidence in Tate, whose fourth-quarter fumble last week led to a quick Denver score, the Texans' official site reports.
Spin:
After Tate's fumble, the Broncos were in the end zone two plays later and his day was done. Houston rode the rest of the game with Arian Foster in the backfield, but Kubiak is still a believer in Tate. "He didn't get back in the game because we put Arian in there, but we've got a lot of confidence in Ben. I think I told y'all this the other day, it's a great example in this league how everything can go right for you one week and the next week all it takes is one play. You have to stay focused week-in and week-out. He'll do that. He came back today and practiced good," said the coach.
Anyone rolling with him over more well established options/actual starting RBs?
