Anyone Selling Kevin Jones? (1 Viewer)

After looking at KJ's schedule down the stretch, Im thinking he might be a good "sell medium-high". Up until last weeks squadouche, he was looking pretty good. Here's the stretch run from week 12-16:

12 - GB

13 - @ MIN

14 - DAL

15 - @ SD

16 - KC

Aside from KC, that's looking pretty rough to me. Not to mention, they'll probably be trailing in the GB, DAL, and SD games, which doesn't bode well for KJ's touches, namely carries.

I've enjoyed what he's gotten for me since being the #1 again, but that schedule is making me want to move him for someone like Ryan Grant, Edge, or Lewis.

Anyone else thinking about moving him?

I think a tough schedule looks good from a PPR standpoint. Depends on your league.
True, doesn't help me out in my leagues but valid.I think counting on him based on receptions each week though is relying a little to heavily on chance. Yeah, he's a good pass receiving RB, but you never know what game he'll have 5 vs 1 catches usually. If I was in PPR leagues, I don't think I'd keep/count on him simply based on that.

I disagree. He had 61 catches in 12 games last year and appears to be getting back on track now this year (17 in his last 4 games). He's a must start, no matter the opponent, in PPR leagues. I'm staying on until the wheels fall off.

I traded FOR KJ recently (due to LJ injury) and heavily considered the schedule.

But I was eventually sold based on some '06 numbers:

MIN (Week 14) - 64 total yds, 1 TD

@NE (Week 13) - 142 total yds

Two brutal matchups.

This was also after he missed a game due to injury.

Well the reason you keep KJ in PPR leagues is because of the bonus you get when he catches passes. Like you said, you never know how these games will go but KJ is pretty much bust proof if he stays on the field in PPR leagues barring injury. In addition he will get all of the GL looks, that's why I will hold on to him.

with their WRs and passing game i think you can downgrade the significance that the defense matchups have on him, and even if Det. gets down it will be tough for him to ever have terrible numbers because they still will use him alot in the pass game their poor OL actually helps KJ in passing situations cause kitna can check down to him but his schedule is pretty brutal

I see these as good matchups. I want my offensive players going up against teams that will hang big points of the board. Shootouts are a ff players dream scenario.

I've been trying to sell, but not getting offers of any value. The extra attention to his foot injury this past week has people running scared.

This only means people who don't have KJ should be trying to buy low from panicking owners.
I just picked him up in a league today!! :kicksrock:  It seems the Lions WRs are always getting tackled on the 2-3 yard line on those crossing routes.

Very true but I'm not panicking. But I've always played into that role. It's an excellent way to at least get the guppies to swim closer and then manipulate a deal that favors you!

Dynasty League

I just traded away K. Jones. Before last weekend at Arizona.

Traded K. Jones and Santana Moss

for L. Fitzgerald

I looked at the schedules and decided that L. Fitzgerald is going to explode the 2nd half and that K. Jones is going to have a tough time and I am done with him and holding my breath every week he plays. I am happy I held on to him as long as I did and I think I got max value.

Seems like a good trade. It is essentially Jones for Fitzgerald. Moss is a non-factor.

sorry I got KJ and cloes for Gore
I did close to this two weeks ago. In an auction keeper league I traded away Kevin Jones and Andre Johnson to get Frank Gore, Hines Ward, Calvin Johnson and some salary cap relief.I think it was a close trade for both teams.

Good matchups *IF* they are shootouts. I think DET will be playing bigtime catchup however, and that will hurt KJ more than say Roy-W and Megatron

Not that anyone really cares, but to give some KJ owners or aspiring owners an idea of what he is fetching in my league: KJ and Joey Porter FOR Galloway. I think the owner made this deal the day before AD got hurt. Needless to say he was pissed he traded him away in our PPR league at such a critical time.

Non-ppr, offered up KJ, Chatman, and Driver for Andre Johnson and Grant - didn't take it.

Now offered KJ and Roy-W for AJ and Grant...I don't think he'll see it in tim before deadline ends though.

I somewhat understand all the PPR love for him, but I wish I could of moved him
