Anyone still starting Chester Taylor? (1 Viewer)

Yes, I'm trying to evaluate whether to stick with Chester this week 13, but this is not a WDIS.

I'm interested in seeing what RBs you might be starting Chester over this week, and why you still think Taylor makes a good start.

I am still starting him, but don't really have a choice. I expect his numbers to diminish, but still warrant consideration. I doubt that Peterson jumps right back in and carries the load. I am expecting CT to get 2/3 of the carries this week, 1/2 next week, and then about 2/5 the rest of the way.

I am going to wait to see how Peterson looks in practice on Friday before deciding to play him.

If Peterson is unrestricted and pain-free, I'd strongly consider MJD and Jamal Lewis over him. If Peterson is limited and/or not pain-free, Chester might get a nod over the other two.

Depends on how AD practices and plays

He's coming along remarkably well but he still has to make it through three full practices

If all goes well for AP, I'd expect Taylor to get enough touches to gain about 50-75 yards but a touchdown is unlikely. AD will likely get the carries down there.

Not a terrible play this week but I'd imagine there might be better options for a big game.

If AD suffers some setbacks, though, Taylor is obviously an excellent play.

I have them both and may start them both. My other RBs (in a 16 team league) are not too good either.

K. Watson

A. Green

Ricky Williams (will drop).

I'm starting him over Thomas Jones and AD. I think Min will be smart and go easy on AD in his first game back. He's basically their franchise so I assume they'd be cautious.

I have him 4th behind Gore, KJones, and MoMo. Depending upon the rest of the week's practice, I may start him. My only other option is Rudi, but I don't like his matchup with Pitt.

I am actually considering starting both of them and sitting Reggie Bush, who has been less than impressive. I don't really need the win though, so it's something I can risk.

Well lets see what i have to choose from

Chester vs Det

Gore @ Carolina

Graham @ NO

Fargas vs Den

Tom Jones A Miami

Yea i got a wide variety, no idea what to do here lol

If i was stuck, i probably would, i don't think they plan on having chester go back to the bench with him coming back so fast

I'm starting Chester over AD. I'd be pretty surprised if they give AD more carries than Chester. Also, he's still hurt.

This week vs Detroit will be a litmus test to see if AD will enter my lineup for week 14, when our playoffs start.

I've got:

Tomlinson

Portis

Peterson

Taylor

I'm on the fence between:

Tomlinson/Portis

Tomlinson/Peterson

Not really considering Taylor.

I see close to a 50-50 split from here on in. Chet has been producing and the rap of both of them is staying healthy.

I have Chester and ADP both sitting this week with Gore and MJD starting. May change, not sure yet.

I do agree with the earlier poster re: litmus test to see how things shake out in that backfield before the playoff weeks.

Chester is currently in my starting lineup (though that's subject to change) over Adrian Peterson (MIN), Warrick Dunn, Brandon Jacobs, and LenDale White.

AP's injury has puzzled me from the beginning. Grade 2+ or whatever, he's practicing which would lead me to believe he'll likely "play" - but Javon Walker "played" last week against the Bears, too.

Could there be gamesmanship involved here? I can't see MN risking their franchise back, especially as well as Taylor has been playing, even facing a "must win" situation, unless he's fully healed.

Bottom line for me will be how he practices tomorrow. If it looks like AP's going to play, then I'll probably run out MJD or Brandon Marshall (flex spot).

I'm starting him because Jacobs and Lynch are still out. All my RB's got hurt at once...the emergence of Taylor saved me. But even if I had those options I'd probably play him. I think he'll out-produce AP this week. Nobody knows for sure how much AP will play, but my guess is Taylor will get more touches (certainly more catches) and has a better chance to score a TD.

It's not exactly a juicy matchup against Detroit so I'm not sure there will be enough points to go around if there is anything close to a 50/50 split. Unless the news changes to indicate they'll be leaning on CT, I'm probably going to ride the hot hand with Gore.
