Apple is garbage. I need a new phone. (1 Viewer)

happy with the galaxy 5, except I'm on my 3rd usb cover, which is kind of important for keeping it waterproof.

I liked my Note3. I really liked my OnePlus. I think my iphone6 may be better than both.
your android/apple flip flopping is amusing. i went through same thing where i tried to convince myself android was better a couple years ago after i sold my apple stock, then realized i was fooling myself.

before the android lovers attack, apple phones are better for me, i'm sure android is better for a lot of people. personal preference.

Why does it have to be either or? I have both an iPhone and an android phone. Each one has its good and bad points. Same with the tablets, of which I have both as well

I have a Nexus 5 and love it. If there were a GPE of the LG G3 (the N5 was basically a modified G2), I would buy it in a heartbeat. But I hate bloatware. Thus no Samsung for me.

My wife's iPhone 6+ is really nice but it's too big for me (thus the N6 would be for me too). If I were to get an iPhone, it would be the 6. But no active widgets on the home screen (mail and weather for me) is a deal-breaker. Also I love Google Now.

I'm really hoping that next year Google's new Nexus phone is a refresh of the N5. Love stock Android. Love wireless charging. Love the price. Love having a totally unlocked device with broad LTE support for international travel. I would just like some of the improvements in the G3 and N6 but in a N5-ish form-factor.

I have an iphone 5S and it is the worst piece of crap that I have ever had. After 6 years of Apple products, I am moving on. Looking at an LG G3. Anybody have one? Thoughts.

Jobs died and Apple went to hell with him.
had an iphone for a while thru work. Not a huge fan. Have a G3 now. Love it

The way to get the most out of the android/apple experience is to be completely in their ecosystems. Switching cloud services, music players, memessaging systems (hangouts/imessage) etc. has got to be a huge pain in the rear.

Don't all FBG's have multiple phones and tablets?

i don't understand the concept of switching ecosystems... once you have the basic android software figured out it's really just nice to stick with it so you can appreciate the advancements they make.

not to mention purchased apps... i've probably bought 15-20 different apps and wouldn't want to re-buy them on a different format.

In addition.. WTF are you guys doing with your phones that you really notice a serious problem from one phone to the next?

I have a really basic 2 year old Galaxy s3 mini... and it does everything I could want from a phone and then some... and when I compare my phone to i-phone people or even people with android phones that are much better than mine, it's not like they are doing anything more legendary on their phones... maybe they have a better camera or a bigger screen to use for jerking it to pron or something..

Much more frequently I notice the main difference between what people accomplish on their phones is from how well they know the software and delve into the setting and features that are already built in..

Most people with nicer phones are blown away with how much i'm doing on my phone just based on my command of the system

Been a samsung guy since day 1 for the call quality and replaceable battery, anytime I tried something different I came back quickly. Today though anything smaller than a note just seems to be the same regurgitated specs with a slightly larger display, so I went with the Moto X (2014) about a month ago...could not be happier with my decision. This phone is fast and I love that it's always listening, it's aluminum frame fees sturdy, and my wife is often commenting on cool stock things I've got that her iPhone 6 doesn't.

I have an HTC one M8. Got my wife an LG G3 when I got mine. Both are very good phones. I'd probably buy a G3 for myself if I were to do it again.
ACP, I'm trying to decide between these two phones, and had just about convinced myself to go HTC One M8. What do tou like better about the G3? The G3 was free on Verizon last I checked and the HTC was $199, so I'd like to know what would sway you to the G3.

Thanks.

They don't? One for work and one for personal. I guess there are a lot of companies shifting to byod these days...i might actually prefer that. Easier on the pockets.

The display on the G3 is amazing. The Camera is a little better IMO. You won't be sorry with either phone so don't sweat the decision too much.

edit: if it's a $200 difference go with the cheaper one and don't look back.

Find a nexus branded phone you like in the form factor you want. my .02
I have the nexus five. Pro: huge screen, very fast os. Con's: terrible battery life, pre loaded google everything that constantly seems to be running. I use twice as much data as my wife and use the phone half as much. The only thing I can figure is that all the google apps are constantly running. I like her galaxy better.

Had a long hunting trip planned for after Christmas, and I needed to do something with my POS iphone. So, I went to the Apple store in Memorial City on December 23rd. Place was a zoo, but you had to figure as much given the date. Had to wait about 35 minutes before my "genius" came and found me. I explained my problem and cat took a look at my phone. After telling me that I was out of warranty and that my phone was not eligible for a battery replacement, he took my phone to the back. I waited about 10 more minutes and "genius" came back out and explained that my phone was beyond repair. BUT, he said that the phone was obviously defective and that they were going to replace it. So, he backed up my phone to the icloud and transferred all my photos and contacts to a new phone. No charge. So, I left with a new iphone 5. It works flawlessly.

I, too, am really unimpressed by Apple, year after year. That said, and as noted before, there's not much difference other than form factor at this point. And while the Apple wastes way too much space not being screen, I actually like it's smaller size.

Hate these big phones. Less #### in my pocket, the better.

My Droid Maxx is still my favorite phone that I own. The iPhone 5s is bad. The touchscreen especially as someone had mentioned. The iPhone 6 my my has is a big step up and the 6 plus I got for my kid is pretty sweet. I personally still hate actually using the iphones and still do most everything on my Droid Maxx. Freedom! Edited to add that the battery life on the Maxx destroys all three of our iphones.
