Teams will likely approach the meaningless finales like they would the final pre-season games? Starters go in for a fine tune-up, playing a quarter, maybe a half. It WILL vary by team, but risking an injury to a key contributor would be devastating, and inexcusable in a meaningless game for play-off bound teams. You might get a half out of your studs? Keep in mind, sometimes a half a stud is better than a marginal player playing the whole game too.
One thing to be aware of is guys playing for incentives. This can go both ways too. Players may play more to break a Team or an NFL record, while some players may play less to avoid escalator clauses in their contracts?
