Are most people jealous of Yankee fans? (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
I don't mean because we are better looking or earn a better salary or can pull hot tail.

I mean because of our rich history, 700 World Series trophies, classic pinstripe uniforms and deep pockets.

What do you think?

Since your asking, it means you want an opinion....And while I'm sure you play for the "Yankees" in your own right, as Tommy Boy stated, lol...I think this is dumb post the way you put it, but I'm sure it has a good question in it some how...

Like who are the mosted hated and pathetic fans in sports? The Yankee fans! Its easy to be a fan of a team that makes the most money because they are in the biggest city in America, and they can spend the cash. If the Pirates played in NY, they would be that good too.

Yup thats worded better then the ego driven wording you put.

And I love how you use the word "our", lol...like you did something useful for the franchise besides make their fans look bad like this thread, lol.

Now Yankee fans will never agree with me, but everyone else does!

Yankees fans are often also fans of the Lakers and Cowboys/Patriots. Their 2nd favorite team is whichever team is in 1st at the time. I hate these people.

I grew up in central New Jersey and as a Yankees fan. I've since become a Nats fan. No jealousy here, or I clearly would have stayed a Yankees fan (as I was definitely not jumping on any Nats bandwagon).

I'm jealous of the WS wins the Yankees have had, but that's it.

Yankee pinstripes are jealous of the old english D.

I like that the Yankees and Red Sox do what they do. It makes good drama for fans. It's not as if East Coasters don't already think the world revolves around them anyway, so why shouldn't their teams throw ridiculous money at FA. It's obvious they can't get to the top without those deals so they might as well. It makes it very easy for the rest of the US to dislike the teams and their entitled fans.

NY doesn't deserve Granderson. The guy is way to classy for that organization.

Lol, no. If I wanted to bandwagon the Yankees like you did, I would.
+1
Believe what you will.I suffered through some of the worst baseball you can ever imagine during the era (error) of Alvaro Espinoza, Roberto Kelly, Mel Hall, Kevin Maas, Bam Bam Muelens, Randy Velarde, Lee Guetterman, Andy Hawkins, Eric Plunk, et al, and I still wore the interlocking N.Y. cap every day despite getting my balls busted mercilessly.

So... suck me.

You really want to go here with me, chief?I already made your "Football Critic" alias  and leave the internet forever.

0.5/10......Ouch
:goodposting: I will give some points for a Lee Guetterman reference though, solid stuff there.
Thanks GB. I would just like to know why nobody ever points out my "bandwagoning" of the Raiders.

I live 30 MINUTES FROM FOXBORO... home of the team that won 3 Super Bowls the last decade, and I can't stand them.

Mainly their fans I can't stand, truthfully. They are your definition of bandwagoners.

Your post would have some meaning if you actually started to like the Yankees because of that era.

Yeah...I think there's some jealously. Not "Damn...I wish I could be a Yankees fan..they have so much fun" jealous....but "Damn..I wish that my team had a payroll/owner/Network/ability to bury bad personnel decisions behind a pile of money" jealous.

Who are you a fan of?

There is a difference between being jealous of Yankees fans and being envious of the Yankees franchise as a whole. Why would anyone be jealous of fans of a team? Makes no sense.

Go where with you, I'm guessing from how you act, no one will go anywhere with you.LOL, chief? you are a bitter, I guess. You ask for an opinion and thoughts and then you attack. :lmao: Howe a person who don;t belong here sounds.

Made me as someone else? lmao, you've been saying that...but I have been here for a long time posting on this board as this guy...all you have is schtik, and confrontation. You like to look for fights all the time, your original post shows it. You start a thread like this and think people will not get on you, your a not a very smart person if you thought that.

...continue with what ever childish rhetoric you need. While we all watch and laugh at your "are people jealous of Yankee fans" thread, lol.

There needs to be a childproof posting element on this site to prevent posts like this.

This is another post from a person who wants us to think he is mature.

ETA: I wanted to highlight the line so there was no confusion.

Fair enough.

To be honest, my first thought is "moron" when I see the interlocked "NY". And I'm on target most of the time. Yankee brass must feel the same way... why else would they have a shoe licking goof for a play-by-play guy? They must know their audience.

Are the first few rows still empty? I don't see many NY games. Best seats in the house - empty. What a shame... but what a great symbol of their "excess".
