If you've held him this long, you're not letting him go until after we see what the week following the bye week brings. You can lump Pierre Thomas in the same group.
If they're not healthy after that bye, it's hard to fathom they'd be worth a hill of beans to start down the stretch. Many playoffs start in week 14, if they're not ready to go by week 11 I know I'll have a hard time putting them into my lineup after working hard to get to the playoffs all year long.
But another part of me is if I'm able to get a decent flex play for him strait up now, at least I know I'd be getting something out of him.
But with Bush, he could potentially come back healthy after the bye and boom....or bust. That's the frustrating part with him (in addition to the injury).
I think Bush has huge potential for a fantasy playoff run. His injury is very straightforward, just a broken bone. Once the bone is rejoined, it's just about regaining the strength in that leg; it won't affect the function of the leg at all. Thomas' injury looks more pernicious; if Bush comes back and Thomas stays out, Bush could be huge down the stretch with no serious competition at the RB position in a high-powered offense. Bush's prospects look way better than Thomas'.
I was just offered D.Brown for Bush, turned it down. I like Bush's potential after the bye especially with the running game struggling atm, they are gonna have him in there for a majority of the plays.
If you have Reggie as a backup you gotta see what he can do first. If you're depending on him as a starter then you might want to consider a more immediate solution especially if you are fighting for a playoff spot and can't afford to lose any games.
