We used to prepare for our drafts from magazines that were printed a month before we drafted, Injury reports came from the USA Today sports pages the day after practice.
I remember the first time I used the DD with a laptop at my draft. Everyone else had magazine and printed off cheatsheets. The guys were looking at me like I was Steve Jobs with new technology.

I don’t recall if I was around for cheat sheets, but might have been. First league I was in, and still am, started in 1999. The Charleston newspaper was the official stat collection spot. I’ve been commish since about 95, and I actually miss scoring the games by paper.

slightly off topic but age related ...
Ponderosa was my dad's go to place for steak - and yeah, I ate a lot of ribeyes and warmed up to the salad bar even as a picky eater.
the quality went down after a number of years (thinner, lower quality steaks and way too much tenderizer) but for the first number of years it was fantastic.
