Are you starting anyone tonight? (1 Viewer)

Anyone starting Freeman, Martin, VJax?

What about ADP(I'm sure most), Rudolph, Simpson?

It seems obvious that Thursday Night games do not help the offenses out much. Not sure why this is, maybe the fact we keep seeing teams like Seattle, San Fran, Minnesota, these teams all have decent defenses. Minnesota has little on offense but the Bucs have been allowing a lot of yards. I have some concerns over Martin and I see that Alex Green for example is in the top10 this week with FBG. I usually take players that are surpasses in the top10 from DD as his way of saying "Don't overlook this guy." There are a few other example this week, don't want to reveal all the subscriber content.

Thought on tonight's game and what you expect. Vikings are 6.5 point fans, that feels like a lot to me.

Bucs +6.5 for me.

I think the short week really hurts the game planning. That being said, I am rolling out Harvin tonight and not thinking twice.

Starting the Minnesota D with confidence at home over a Bucs team that I think will be operating on fumes on the short week. Over the Pats D in Wembley. Sitting Rudolph after this zero pt stinker until he shows me something. Starting Vincent Jackson because...well...he's Vincent freaking Jackson.

Starting VJax tonight. I agree that Thursdays have been horrid for fantasy owners this year but can't bring myself to bench him for Nate Washington.

Starting Doug Martin and Vikings D. Mike Williams on the bench.

Vikings run defense has slipped a bit the last 2 weeks. Plus a shorter time to prepare, I'm hoping Martin gets around 8-12 points non-ppr.

Taking a chance on Vikings D at home. I have the Lions D on my bench and will be contemplating till the last minute. I'll be happy if the Vikings D do manage 7+ points but not expecting it, if I do start them.

Can't decide if I want to make a play on this game, but if I do, I'm with you on the Bucs +6.5.Fantasy wise, I try to avoid Thursday nighters, but I'm rolling with Martin in one league. No other real options.

Rolling with Rudolph one more time (after that its Daniels every week)...and ADP.

Figuring he has to have some production...has been productive in all but 2 games thus far.

Injuries and the bye week have forced me to start Martin this week even though I know its not the most ideal matchup for him. Hoping for the best but I will keep my expectations in check tonight.

I out thought myself last week by benching Gore against Seattle for Mike Williams against Buffalo.

I lost my match because of that call.

That being said,

I will refuse to bench borderline stud players for matchup reasons anymore.

V Jax is a start

Vikings D is a start

Doug Martin: reluctant start. This is his chance to establish himself as a solid RB2, if he sucks he will be a matchup play going forward.

Mike Willams, screw you, BENCH

All these Thursday nighters can't blow all year ... can they?

Maybe we've all been lulled to sleep, and it's time for a legit "over" barnburner.

That's where my wager is.

(and Rudolph in one league).

Just have a feeling there will be offense in buckets tonight... I can hope anyways. Starting Harin and Minn D in one, ADP in another.

Going with ponder tonight, can't watch cam newton against the bears without convulsions. I'm hoping his knee isn't an issue.

Peterson and Harvin are inst-starts. I'm worried about VJax and his calf, he looked he was pushing a concrete truck on 95 yard recption. Only 3 days of rest, how much better could his calf be?

he was pretty amazing sunday. don't know how you can bench him. I think that play was a mix of the calf and just running out of gas....that was the only play you could tell he was not 100%

I hate Thursday night games, but I can't sit harvin. If I had anyone other than harvin or adp, I'd probably bench them if I had decent options (including vjax... Tough defense, so he will suck in typical vjax fashion).

Oh, I'd also start the Vikings defense if I had them.

I'm torn. I'm starting rudolph because I have no real te2. I do have both vjax and doug martin on my team--but right now I have them on my bench. I have Mcgahee at my rb--and I'm starting antonio brown, julio jones, and james jones at my wr's. Non ppr. Minn defense is pretty legit. Am I making a mistake?

worth noting that Rudolph's bagel was vs. Arizona, #2 d vs te, have not allowed more than 21 pts a game, held Celek to 2rec, 36 and chandler to 1, 4. gronkowski still got his vs. ari though.

i'm starting rudolph in one league and benching vd vs ari. not confident about it, but just following a pretty strong trend for ari.

Cook and Winfield combine for 56/87 602 yds, less than 11 ypc which is pretty low, only 2 TDs on the season. The Nickel guy Robinson allows over 70% completion rate but he isn't on the field as much obviously.

Harison Smith and Jamarco Sanford at Safety for the Vikes are also pretty solid in pass defense. Sanford a little better at rush defense and Winfield makes a ton of tackles for a CB.

Could be crickets tonight for Josh Freeman who has had 2 really strong Sundays in a row for FF owners.

I think Mike Williams is the better WR play tonight for TB.

Jackson's performance last week had to open MINN's eyes, and I'm sure they don't want him to pull a repeat performance against them. Just my opinion.

Bucs will roll with Eric Wright and EJ Biggers...Biggers is the better of the two but Simpson is an interesting sleeper tonight.

At Safety the Bucs have Barber who is dangerous in pass coverage but the rookie Barron can give up some long plays thru the air. 14/22 with a 15+ ypc avg, Vikes will try to exploit this when they take to the air.

I did some brief looking and found no reason why Minn allowed Arizona to run well.

I'm benching Martin in favor of R. Jennings for that reason.

Unless someone can tell me why Minn is suddenly soft on the run.

?

The challenge with Thursday night game (I think) is that no team plays Thursday more than once due to the short-week issue. So inevitably, we see some poor teams, perhaps all of them. But there are some good matchups. Chi vs. GB earlier, Den vs. Oak, NO vs. Atl. Ok, there are few good matchups.

I like the Mike Williams call, that's shark material. I also have Nicks and Wallace but still have Harvin plugged in at this point. I think TB's run D is stout, Minny will have to throw...

PPR league I could see doing this. I just don't project much rushing at all for the Jags this week although Jennings could easily make it up with dump offs and increasing his receiving yards. Pretty close decision imo.

Starting Martin. Have no choice...with byes and injuries aside from him my only other reliable RB available this week is Alfred Morris. Count me in as another person who thinks the short week hurts the product and puts the players at more injury risk.
