once PETA begins the picketing outside the Falcons' front office, things will most surely change. If he's not given a leave of any sort, PETA will carry on all year long, outside Falcons' games, etc..
PETA can protest the falcons all they want the most they could do is suspend vick for 4 games(which is what they tried to do) the person they should protest is roger goodell he is the one with the power
Vick has played his last down in the NFL. He will end up taking a leave for a year, until this is trial is settled. He will be convicted. He will go to jail. I believe we have seen the last of Vick as an NFL player.

As I said a few days ago, Blank is furious and Goodell won't know what to do with him by the time Blank's done with him. Today's presser seems to reinforce that and Goodell is asking Blank to slow down a bit.Whether "the falcons" or NFL does it, is somewhat irrelevant as it can happen.Goodell can suspend Vick and/or banish him from the league if he deems it necessary. I believe he will soon have a meeting with the NFLPA in some fashion to gauge their stance/response to this. It's quite unlikely they will "back" Vick but they could realistically talk Goodell into holding off some on his punishment until/when if Vick is proven guilty. This is the biggest issue to hit Goodell's personal conduct policy and since public opinion is on his side I would expect him to play this one quite well. He's trying to sell his policy to the players and NFL organizations and this is going to be the discussed issue. Forget about Henry and Pacman now, this will be it when we look back on 2007.

Arthur Blank and Rich McKay were already looking at releasing Vick. He's staying away from camp now. Blank has defended Vick in the past, and now he feels betrayed. They wanted to suspend him for four games. Blank doesn't want to pay him $6 million, and then find out Vick is guilty. Blank believes that Vick is guilty. Vick will have to clear his name to be let back into the fold. That will require being acquitted. That won't happen until next year at the earliest. The NFL will find a way to keep Vick off the field until the trial is resolved. I think Vick will be convicted. Then he is done in the NFL.

But, then again, I thought OJ could never get off.

This Vick story is going to be the story of the decade. This will be in the category of the OJ story, and the Pete Rose story. The only person happy about this is the NBA official caught betting on games. He's being overshadowed by the Vick story.

For the longest time clayton and others at espn were saying this wasn't that big of a deal and nothing would happen to vick until 2008 at the earliest so I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into what they have to say.

So the fact that Clayton changed his mind in light of new circumstances (namely, a federal indictment) hurts his credibility? :goodposting:

#1 he didn't, he was found guilty in a civil court, #2 it wasn't the Fed's after him was it ?

clayton is allowed to change his mind if he wants my point is just because he's saying something now doesn't mean that it will happen in the far off future. Just liike circumstances changed before they can change again.

Mort on now talking about Goodell suspending him, saying that with all the evidence found on his property , they've got

a watertight case for suspension.

and now it looks like the State of NJ might go after him, that perhaps he bought dogs from NJ to use in Va.:

Mort should go cover another story. He has zero credibility on this one.

I am surprised you haven't gotten any takers on this one. Maybe because we'd have to wait until Vick was at least 40 before anyone could collect.I'll bet you $10 just for fun that he doesn't play again in the NFL.
